Kavajë is a municipality centrally located in the Western Lowlands region of Albania, in Tirana County. It borders Durrës to the north 17 km (11 mi), Tiranë to the east 27 km (17 mi) and Rrogozhinë to the south 15 km (9 mi). To the west lies the Adriatic Sea. Based on the 2011 Census, the municipality had a population of 40,094 inhabitants, although the Civil Registry inferred the total number of inhabitants to be 79,556. The overall surface area is 199.00 square kilometres (76.83 sq mi).

Kavajë Street is a major street of Tirana, Albania. It is the most important street of western Tirana and runs west from the central Skanderbeg Square for several kilometres and continues further west to the Adriatic Sea. It is known for its prime real estate and some of the most expensive residential apartments in Tirana. The Universal Hospital Tirana is located along this street. It intersects with Bajram Curri Boulevard.

The league was played between April and May 1932 and it was divided into 3 groups, Group A being an exhibition tournament and the winners of Group B and C played each other in the final. The final was played between SK Kavajë and SK Vlorë, which was won by SK Kavajë 3-1 to be crowned champions.

Shkëmbi i Kavajës is a landmark named after the town of Kavajë, Albania. The outsized rock is about 6 kilometers from Kavajë and about 8 kilometers from Durrës. It is said to be the place where, in 48 BC, during Caesar's Civil War, Caesar fought against Pompey.

The 1953 Kategoria e Dytë was the 9th season of a second-tier association football league in Albania. The season started in March and ended in August. After the interruption of 1952 the Second Division resumed with the formula of the 14 teams in two groups and the final by title and promotions between the two first classified. Spartaku Tiranë wins the title and promotion, but thanks to the Federation's decision to enlarge the First Division to 12 teams, Puna Elbasan also gains promotion, although defeated in the play-off by the penultimate of the major series, and Puna Kavajë, who wins a special play-off with the second in the other group.
