"Í hjarta mér" ("in my heart") is the second single from Egó's album 6. Október. [1] The name of the band is sometimes stylized as EGÓ. The single released on February 19, 2009. The song became a big hit immediately and peaked at No. 1 on all charts in Iceland. The single was released as a Digital download only.

Þrír Blóðdropar was an album released in 1992 by Icelandic rock singer, Megas, through Skífan.

Skytturnar is the soundtrack to the Icelandic film directed by Friðrik Þór Friðriksson in 1987. This 12" EP was released through the Gramm-label and was produced by Kjartan Kjartansson and the renowned Tómas Magnús Tómasson.
The soundtrack includes several well known Icelandic artists such as Bubbi & MX-21, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson and Sykurmolarnir with the collaboration of Þór Eldon Jónsson .
The soundtrack EP includes four of the songs used in Skytturnar, there were 14 different pieces of music used in the movie, mostly as coincidental music. The EP has never been reissued and is currently widely unavailable.

"Kannski Varð Bylting Vorið 2009" is EGÓ's first song in 25 years. It was released on January 10, 2009. Bubbi first performed the song at a radio show Poppland at Rás 2 on January 5. On January 7, EGÓ recorded the song at Stúdíó Sýrland. EGÓ also recorded another song by Bubbi called "Fallega Þú" but later got the name "Í Hjarta Mér". All of their albums have been recorded at Hljóðrita in Hafnarfjörður except that one. The single was released to promote EGÓ's upcoming album 6. Október but for some reasons the song was not included on the album.
Egó was a musical band founded in Reykjavík, Iceland), in the fall of 1981 by Bubbi Morthens with his younger brother and guitarist Bergþór Morthens and their friend, bassist Þorleifur Guðjónsson. Egó's first drummer was Jóhann Ridar, and for a while guitarist Ragnar Sigurðsson played along with them. Jóhann and Ragnar were replaced by drummer Magnús Stefánsson and Tómas Magnús Tómasson. Bubbi Morthens, the frontman and main lyricist in the band had been part of influential punk/rock/reggie band Utangarðsmenn, but had been fired from the band for reportedly having a "big ego", which was also allegedly the reason for the band name "Egó".
Utangarðsmenn was an Icelandic punk band formed in 1979 and was most active in the early 1980s, becoming one of the most popular bands in the country for that period.

Massive Ego was a British darkwave musical group formed in 1996 by singer Marc Massive and Andy J Thirwall. The band has changed its sound and image since its formation. The original releases being mostly covers in a Eurodance, Hi-NRG style. Massive and Thirwall later parted ways, and Massive searched for a new musical direction for the band. Collaborations with Empire State Human and Lia Organa & Electric Prince were the start of a darker sound for the band. The band joined alternative German label Out of Line Music in 2015 with the line-up; Marc Massive, Oliver Frost, Lloyd Price and Scot Collins. Their debut album for Out of Line was released on 17 February 2017. The current themes of the songs centre around the darker side of life, depression and anxiety, death, suicide, love, sex and vampirism.
Aldrei fór ég suður is an annual music festival held in Ísafjörður, Iceland, every Easter weekend since 2004. It is the brainchild of Mugison and his father, Guðmundur Kristjánsson, who came up with the idea after playing on a music festival in London in 2003, and is named after Bubbi Morthens song of the same name. Since its establishment, there has never been an entry fee to the festival and the bands do not get paid.
"Ég er kominn heim" is a song performed by the Icelandic singer Óðinn Valdimarsson and the band K.K. sextettinn. The song is originally by Hungarian composer Emmerich Kálmán and the lyrics were written by Jón Sigurðsson. It was released in 1960 on the album Óðinn. The song gained a resurgence after being covered by Björgvin Halldórsson on his 2003 album Íslandslög 6. In 2008, the song was covered by Bubbi Morthens and Björn Jörundur Friðbjörnsson. By the 2010s, the song had become an unofficial song of the Icelandic national teams, being performed noticeably during the 2015 EuroBasket, the 2016 European Men's Handball Championship, UEFA Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
