"Şıkıdım" (pronounced  [ʃɯkɯˈdɯm] ; "Shake") is a song by Turkish singer Tarkan. It was originally released on his 1994 album lending its title to the album's name, Aacayipsin (Hepsi Senin Mi?). It is a Sezen Aksu song, reproduced by Laurent Marimbert and re-mixed by Yves Jaget for the European music market and included in Tarkan's compilation album Tarkan in 1998. It was released as a single after the success of his previous single "Şımarık" in 1999.

This song was later released in English as "Shikidim" on Tarkan's 2006 English-language debut, Come Closer . This song has been covered in Persian by a Girl Group called "Silhouettt" for his debut album "Ab, Atash, Va Khak" and the song named "Paeez". It was also covered by British grime artist Skepta, Russian pop singer Philipp Kirkorov, the Israeli Duo Datz and Ukrainian singer Viktor Pavlik.

Cover version

For film Dhoom was covered in Hindi as Shikdum, lyrics were penned by Sameer. The 'Shikdum' music is lifted from his big hit "Şıkıdım".

"Şımarık", also known as "Kiss Kiss", is a 1997 song by Turkish singer Tarkan. It was written by Sezen Aksu, with music credited as composed by Tarkan. However, Tarkan later admitted in a 2006 interview that this had been done without Aksu's consent, who was the true copyright owner. It formed part of Tarkan's album Ölürüm Sana. "Şımarık" was released in France in 1998 and the rest of the world in 1999, from the compilation album Tarkan, which was released in Europe. It has sold two million copies all across Europe. Many versions of the song were recorded in different languages, most notably the English-language cover, titled "Kiss Kiss", by Greek-American singer Stella Soleil in 2001 which was itself covered by Australian actress Holly Valance in 2002.

Aacayipsin is the 1994 album of the Turkish pop singer Tarkan. Album was published in Europe, Asia. This was his second album, the success of which launched him as a superstar onto the Turkish pop scene with over 2.5 million copies sold worldwide. The album also sold over 750 thousand copies in Europe, a first-ever feat for a Turkish performer.

Turkish pop music had its beginnings in the late 1950s with Turkish cover versions of a wide range of imported popular styles, including rock and roll, tango, and jazz. This wide collection of songs was labelled as "Hafif-batı" music and included a wide range of artists, such as Frank Sinatra to Doris Day, Nat King Cole to the Everly Brothers, from Elvis Presley to Paul Anka.

Come Closer is the debut English language album by Turkish pop singer Tarkan. Album was published in Europe, Asia, Japan, North America, South America, Australia. It was released by Universal Records on April 7, 2006 in Europe and Central Asia. Tarkan began recording the album in 1997, following the success of his third Turkish release Ölürüm Sana that year. Referring to the album's title, Tarkan said:

"I think that my music is very unique [sic] and connects both worlds. That's the reason why I named my album Come Closer. I believe in cultural sharing, in the idea of we-belong-altogether. In my opinion, music should have no borders and we should all try to come closer".

Karma is Tarkan's fourth studio album, released in 2001. His fifth music project and his fourth original release, this album moved away from pop to worldbeat melodies fused with electronica sounds and became the all time third best selling album in Turkey. The album was recorded in Istanbul, Los Angeles, New York City, Egypt and Europe. Album was published in Europe, North America, Asia, Japan, Russia. By 2001 more than 3.6 million copies of this album was sold worldwide. The tour "Kuzu Kuzu" which began in January 2002 was very successful as well and Tarkan performed in 19 countries and gave 26 concerts.

Hepsi was a Turkish girlband. They consist of Eren Bakıcı, Cemre Kemer and Yasemin Yürük, and formerly of Gülçin Ergül, who left in 2009. All the members of the group are from the city of Istanbul. The group rose to fame in the year 2005 with their debut album Bir, which spawned the hit songs "Olmaz Oğlan", "Üç Kalp", and "Herşeye Rağmen", and the hugely successful song "Yalan". They later went on to release their first official EP, Tempo, in association with Pepsi, and worked with Turkish Pop legend Sezen Aksu, famous for working with Tarkan. In 2006 they also released their second studio album, Hepsi 2, which spawned the huge hit "Kalpsizsin", and Aşk Sakızı. The group released their third studio album on 24 May 2008 called Şaka meaning "Joke" in English. The group released their first single for this album on 23 May 2008, called "4 Peynirli Pizza" meaning "4 cheese pizza".

"Bu Gece " was originally formed part of Tarkan's 1997 album Ölürüm Sana under the title of "Kır Zincirlerini". The song was written and composed by Tarkan. It was reproduced by Laurent Marimbert and re-mixed by Jeeb at ADS Studios for the European music market and included in Tarkan's compilation album Tarkan in 1998. It was released as a single after his previous two singles "Şımarık" and "Şıkıdım" in 1999. Other releases of this single only had two tracks, "Bu Gece" and "Unut Beni," as a B-side.

Due to its popularity it was re-released with 15 tracks on 27 September in the same year. The sales of this album won Tarkan a Monaco World Music Award.

Hepsi Hit Vol. 1 is the twelfth studio album by Turkish singer Hande Yener. It was released on 6 June 2016 by Poll Production. After releasing Mükemmel in 2014, Yener started to collect songs for her upcoming projects, and in mid 2015 she announced that different pieces for her new album were ready and set to be released at an appropriate time. In the early 2016, the title of the album was announced, and the recording phase started at the studio. Out of the 120 songs that she had received, she chose 20 of them for recording and as the production company was satisfied with all the pieces, they decided to release Hepsi Hit in two separate volumes.
