Şirinköy is a village in Zonguldak District, Zonguldak Province, Turkey. [1]
Zonguldak Province is a province along the western Black Sea coast region of Turkey. The province is 3.481 km2 in size and has a population of 619,703. Its adjacent provinces are Düzce to the southwest, Bolu to the south, Karabük to the southeast, and Bartın to the east. The capital is Zonguldak. Its Governor is Erdoğan Bektaş.

Devrek was incorporated into the Zonguldak Province on May 14, 1920. It is divided into five quarters, three subdistricts and seventy-six villages. The three subdistricts are Çaydeğirmeni, Eğerci, and Özbağı. The population of the Devrek district is 66,518. The mayor is Çetin Bozkurt (CHP).

Zonguldak railway station is a regional railway station in Zonguldak, Turkey. It is the western terminus of the Zonguldak-Filyos Regional and was the former northern terminus of the Karaelmas Express from Ankara. It was opened in 1937 as the northern terminus of the Irmak-Zonguldak railway. The railway today is primarily a freight railway as the only passenger service is a thrice-daily regional service to Filyos. The station is located in the neighborhood of Karaelmas along İstasyon Street in the southern part of the city.

The Governor of Zonguldak is the bureaucratic state official responsible for both national government and state affairs in the Province of Zonguldak. The Governor is also the most senior commander of both the Zonguldak provincial police force and the Zonguldak Gendarmerie.
The Irmak–Zonguldak railway is a railway line in the Black Sea Region of Turkey. The railway connects the industrial coal regions and the port of Zonguldak as well as the Kardemir steel mill to central Anatolia and is a major freight railway. Due to the importance the railway has on the Turkish coal industry, it has been nicknamed the coal-route. The railway was built by the Turkish State Railways in 1937. A thrice-weekly passenger train, the Karaelmas Express, ran from Ankara to Zonguldak but was discontinued on 1 January 2010. In 2014, regional passenger service was brought back between Zonguldak and Filyos but the line today is mainly for freight rail.
Çatalağzı power station (ÇATES) is a coal-fired power station in Turkey. Its two units opened in 1990 and 1991, and it was privatised in 2014. The plant was shut down for not meeting new air pollution regulations for coal in Turkey in January 2020, but was granted a one-year temporary operating licence by the Turkish Environment Ministry in June.
