At 1,493 metres (4,898 ft) the Feldberg in the Black Forest is the highest mountain in Baden-Württemberg, and the highest in Germany outside of the Alps and Bavaria. The local municipality of Feldberg was named after the mountain.

Jesenice is a town and the seat of the Municipality of Jesenice on the southern side of the Karawanks, along Slovenia's border with Austria to the north. Jesenice is known as the Slovenian home of mining and iron making industries, its largest steel company Acroni, and its ice hockey club, HK Acroni Jesenice. Historically, Jesenice's ironworks and metallurgy industries were the driving force of the town's development.
Klínovec is the highest peak of the Ore Mountains, located in the Czech Republic's part of the mountains at 1,244 metres (4,081 ft). There is an 80 m TV broadcasting tower on the top of the mountain and a 24 meter high lookout tower. From the south side, the Jáchymov - Klínovec chairlift leads to the top, from the north side leads another chairlift Dámská.
Auli is in Chamoli district in the Himalayan mountains of Uttarakhand, India. Auli, also known as Auli Bugyal, in Garhwali, which means "meadow", is located at an elevation of 2,800 metres (9,200 ft) above sea level. Between June and October, the valley has one of highest numbers of flower species found anywhere in the world, with 520 species of high-altitude plants, 498 of which are flowering plants with significant populations of endangered species.
Levi is a fell located in Finnish Lapland, and the largest ski resort in Finland. The resort is located in the village of Sirkka, Kittilä municipality and is served by Kittilä Airport and Kolari railway station. At a latitude of 67.8° north, it is located approximately 170 km (110 mi) north of the Arctic Circle.
Golija is a mountain in southwestern Serbia, between towns of Ivanjica and Novi Pazar. It is part of the Dinaric mountain range. The mountain is heavily forested with significant biodiversity. It contains the Golija-Studenica Biosphere Reserve, the first UNESCO-MAB registered biosphere reserve in Serbia. It is also a small ski resort, with several historical monuments and monasteries. The highest peak is Jankov Kamen at 1,833 metres (6,014 ft).
Bukovel is the largest ski resort in Eastern Europe situated in Ukraine, in Nadvirna Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (province) of western Ukraine. A part of it is in state property. The resort is located almost on the ridge-lines of the Carpathian Mountains at elevation of 900 m (3,000 ft) above the sea level near the village of Polianytsia. It is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and is situated 30 km (19 mi) southwest of the city of Yaremche. In 2012, Bukovel was named the fastest-growing ski resort in the world.
Golica is a peak in the Western Karawanks, on the border between Slovenia and Austria, above the Slovene town of Jesenice. It is known mainly for its fields of wild white narcissi, swathes of which cover Golica and surrounding pastures in late April and early May. This marks the beginning of a popular time for mountaineers to visit, extending through the end of summer. The slopes provide great views of the Julian Alps and Austrian Carinthia; the Ljubljana Basin can be seen from the summit on clear days.
Planina pod Golico is a mountain village in the Municipality of Jesenice, in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. It lies on the southern foot of Mount Golica in the Karawanks range, at an elevation of 954 metres (3,130 ft).
Klek, also known as Petelin or Petelinjek to locals from the villages on the Slovene side below its summit, is a peak in the Western Karawanks, between Golica/Kahlkogel to the east and Dovška Baba to the west. It lies on the border between Slovenia and Austria above the town of Jesenice. On the northern side towards Carinthia the peak itself is very steep and mostly composed of brittle rock and scree, and is accessible from Rosenbach on the Austrian side only via Rožca Saddle. Due to their inaccessibility, its northern slopes are known for their alpine flora, particularly the protected edelweiss. It is more easily accessible from the Slovene side from Planina pod Golico.

The Big Pasture Plateau is a karstified mountain plateau in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps northeast of Kamnik, Slovenia. It measures 5.8 square kilometres and has an average elevation of 1,500 metres above sea level. Its highest point is Mount Gradišče, at 1,666 m (5,466 ft). There are numerous herders' dwellings that comprise several settlement areas: Velika Planina 'Big Pasture', Mala Planina 'Little Pasture', Gojška Planina 'Gozd Pasture', Tiha Dolina 'Quiet Valley', and others. The Big Pasture Plateau is a tourist destination both in winter as a ski resort and in summer as a place for relaxation.
Lisca is a 948-metre (3,110 ft) hill in the eastern part of the Sava Hills in southeastern Slovenia, northwest of Sevnica, north of the Sava, and south of Gračnica Creek. It is the most frequently visited hiking destination in the Sava Hills.
The Slovenian Mountain Hiking Trail, sometimes also called Transverzala, is a route from Maribor to Ankaran. It covers most of the Slovenian mountain areas including Pohorje, the Julian Alps, the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, the Karawanks, and the southwestern part of Slovenia. It is the oldest hiking track in Europe.
Begunjščica is a ridge mountain in the Karawanks. It rises from the western Smokuč mountain pasture to St. Anne on its eastern side. The mountain has three main peaks, the highest being Big Peak. The western Middle Peak lies a little lower, and the lowest is Begunje Mount Vrtača. Its southern slopes rise over the Draga Valley. The ascent of the mountain is relatively easy and possible throughout the year. In the winter and early spring conditions are favourable for ski touring.
The Bodental is a remote mountain valley in the Karawanks in the south of Carinthia, Austria. Located at just over 1,000 metres above sea level, the valley extends southwesterly and can be reached by road or walking trail from the Loibl Pass road. The area is part of the cadastral community of Windisch Bleiberg, and since the beginning of 1973 it has been part of the municipality of Ferlach. The valley is drained via Boden Creek, which flows over Tschauko Falls in the Tscheppa Gorge.
Šerák is a mountain in the Hrubý Jeseník mountain range in the Czech Republic. It has an elevation of 1,351 m (4,432 ft) above sea level. It is located in the municipality of Ostružná, on the historic border of Moravia and Silesia.
