The 1883 Lafayette football team was an American football team that represented Lafayette College as an independent during the 1883 college football season. Playing without a regular coach, the team compiled a 2–4 record and was outscored by a total of 126 to 110. ^{[1] [2]} Theodore Welles was the team captain, ^[3] and F. Drake was the manager. ^[1] The team played its home games on The Quad in Easton, Pennsylvania.
