The 1988–89 Liga Artzit season saw Hapoel Ramat Gan win the title and promotion to Liga Leumit. At the other end of the table, Hapoel Bat Yam and Hapoel Yehud relegated to Liga Alef. [1] However, after the season finished Beitar Ramla was found guilty in match fixing and was relegated to Liga Alef while Hapoel Bat Yam was reprieved. [2]

At the end of the season, Liga Artzit expanded from 14 to 16 clubs, as Liga Leumit reduced in size from 14 to 12 clubs.

The 1986–87 Liga Artzit season saw Tzafririm Holon win the title and promotion to Liga Leumit.

The 1986–87 Liga Alef season saw Maccabi Hadera and Hapoel Bat Yam win their regional divisions, and qualify for promotion play-offs against the 11th and 12th placed clubs in Liga Artzit, Hapoel Marmorek and Hapoel Ramat Gan. Hapoel Bat Yam were the only promoted club from Liga Alef to Liga Artzit.

The 2012–13 Liga Alef season saw Hapoel Afula and Hapoel Katamon win the title and promotion to Liga Leumit. Beitar Kfar Saba won the promotion play-offs and met Beitar Tel Aviv Ramla of Liga Leumit and lost 2–4 on aggregate and thus remained in Liga Alef.

The 2008–09 Liga Alef season was the last season of Liga Alef as the fourth tier of the Israeli football league system. Third tier, Liga Artzit, was scrapped, while the Premier League and Liga Leumit were expanded to 16 clubs each, making Liga Alef the third tier, as well as expanding the two regional divisions to 16 clubs.

Hapoel Ramla is an Israeli football club based in Ramla. They are currently in Liga Gimel Central division, and play home matches at the Tzeirei Jaffa Ground in Jaffa.

The 2004–05 Liga Bet season saw Maccabi Sektzia Ma'alot, Hapoel Bnei Tamra, Maccabi Ironi Bat Yam and Hapoel Arad win their regional divisions and promoted to Liga Alef.

The 1999–2000 Liga Bet season saw 153 clubs competing in 11 regional divisions for promotion to Liga Bet.

The 1991–92 Liga Alef season saw Hapoel Daliyat al-Karmel and Hapoel Ashkelon win their regional divisions and promotion to Liga Artzit.
