The 1989–90 Wessex Football League was the fourth season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the first time were Romsey Town. Runners-up Newport (IOW) moved up to the Southern League after this season. [1]

For sponsorship reasons, the league was known as the Medisport Wessex League. [2]

The league consisted of one division of 19 clubs, increased from 17 the previous season despite Bashley having joined the Southern League. [2] Three new clubs joined:

The 1997–98 Wessex Football League was the 12th season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the second consecutive season and the third time in their history were AFC Lymington, before their merger with New Milton Town of the Hampshire League. Runners-up Andover were promoted to the Southern League as Lymington's ground was not of the required standard for promotion. Romsey Town finished bottom and were relegated, and Ryde Sports resigned during the season.

The 1998–99 Wessex Football League was the 13th season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions were Lymington & New Milton, in their first season as a merged club. There was no promotion to the Southern League, and neither was there any relegation this season.

The 2001–02 Wessex Football League was the 16th season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the second time in their history, and the second consecutive season, were Andover. Runners-up Fleet Town were promoted back to the Southern League at the second attempt, but Swanage Town & Herston finished bottom and were relegated for the second time, the first being in 1996.

The 2002–03 Wessex Football League was the 17th season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the first time in their history were Eastleigh, who were promoted to the Southern League. There was no relegation this season.

The 2005–06 Wessex Football League was the 20th season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the second time in their history were Winchester City, who were promoted to the Southern League along with runners-up Thatcham Town and third-placed Andover. The extra promotions were because of the pyramid reorganisations that took place in 2006.

The 2008–09 Wessex Football League was the 23rd season of the Wessex Football League. The league champions for the first time in their history were Poole Town, who were denied promotion to the Southern League due to ground grading problems. VT were promoted as runners-up. There was the usual programme of promotion and relegation between the two Wessex League divisions.

The 2014–15 Wessex Football League season was the 29th in the history of the Wessex Football League since its establishment in 1986.
