The 2002–03 Serie A season was the 69th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. Six teams participated in the league, and the HC Milan Vipers won the championship by defeating Asiago Hockey in the final.

Milano Vipers Italian professional ice hockey team from Milan

Hockey Club Junior Milano Vipers was an Italian professional ice hockey team from Milan. Founded in 1998 as Hockey Club Junior Milano, was renamed Vipers in 2000.
In June 2008 the organization was disbanded and replaced with Hockey Milano Rossoblu, a new club that employs much of the same office staff, but does not benefit from the same fundings and operates on a significantly tighter budget.
During their short History, the Vipers won 5 Scudetti, 3 Italy Cups and 3 Italian Super Cups.

John Parco is an Italian-Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played most of his professional career with Asiago HC in the Serie A. He is currently the head coach of the Soo Thunderbirds in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League and was formerly the head coach of Asiago HC and SG Cortina in Serie A. Internationally he represented Italy from 2003 until 2010 highlighted by scoring 3 goals in the Turin Olympics.

Hockey Milano Rossoblu is an ice hockey team from Milan, Italy. It replaced Milano Vipers after that organization was disbanded in 2008. It is currently playing in Alps Hockey League, joining in 2018 after replacing HC Neumarkt-Egna who withdrew due to financial difficulties.
