Tennis is a racket sport that can be played individually against a single opponent (singles) or between two teams of two players each (doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to maneuver the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball will not gain a point, while the opposite player will.

French Open French Open Tennis Championships

The French Open, also called Roland-Garros, is a major tennis tournament held over two weeks at the Stade Roland-Garros in Paris, France, beginning in late May each year, except 2020, which is planned to begin in late September due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The venue is named after the French aviator Roland Garros. It is the premier clay court tennis championship tournament in the world and the second of the four annual Grand Slam tournaments, the other three being the Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. The French Open is currently the only Grand Slam tournament held on clay, and it is the conclusion of the spring clay court season. Before the Australian Open and the US Open were converted into hardcourt, the French Open was the lone non-grass tournament. Trinity Tigers

The Trinity Tigers is the nickname for the sports teams of Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. They participate in the NCAA's Division III and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). The school mascot is LeeRoy, a Bengal tiger. In the 1950s, LeeRoy was an actual tiger who was brought to sporting events, but today LeeRoy is portrayed by a student wearing a tiger suit. The VanOpen, currently sponsored as Odlum Brown VanOpen, is a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It is part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour, and of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Women's Circuit. Ashleigh Barty won her first Grand Slam singles title, defeating Markéta Vondroušová in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the Women's Singles tennis title at the 2019 French Open. Barty was the first Australian player, male or female, to win a French Open singles title since Margaret Court in 1973 as well as the first Australian player to win a Grand Slam singles title since Samantha Stosur at the 2011 US Open.
