The 2007-08 Lebanese Second Division was the 74th season of the Second Division league which featured 14 Clubs. 2 of these teams were eligible for promotion to the top league of Lebanese football, the Lebanese Premier League while 2 of the 14 teams had to face relegation to the Lebanese Third Division for the 2007-08 Season.

The Lebanese Second Division is the second division of Lebanese football. Established in 1934, it is controlled by the Lebanese Football Association. The 12 teams that participate in the league play each other twice, once at home and once away, with the champions and the second placed team qualifying to the Lebanese Premier League to replace the bottom two teams.

The Lebanese Premier League is the top division of the Lebanese football league system. There are 12 teams competing in the league, which operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Lebanese Second Division.

Pat Flannery is an American former college basketball coach. He served as the head men's basketball at Lebanon Valley College from 1989 to 1994 and Bucknell University from 1994 to 2008. Flannery was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania and attended Pottsville Area High School, graduating in 1976. He played college Basketball at Bucknell as a point guard, leading the Bison to several league championships before graduating in 1980. Flannery led his team, a 14-seed, to a first- round victory in the 2005 NCAA Division I Tournament over Kansas. Bucknell's victory was the first NCAA Tournament win ever for any Patriot League team. In the 2006 regular season the Bison went undefeated in Patriot League play. In the 2006 NCAA Tournament, the Bison beat Arkansas in the first round for their second consecutive first round victory. Following the 2007–08 basketball season, Flannery retired after 14 season as Bucknell's head coach. He resides in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and now works in a fundraising capacity for Bucknell.

Walter Wallace Hodge Muñoz is an American-Puerto Rican-U.S. Virgin Islander professional basketball player for CS Sagesse of the Lebanese Basketball League. Internationally, Hodge plays with the senior U.S. Virgin Islands national basketball team, due to eligibility arising from his Virgin Islander grandfather. After being a reserve point guard in his first two seasons with the Florida Gators, he became the starting point guard for the two-time defending national champions in the 2007–08 season. On June 5, 2013, in appreciation for his contribution to Zielona Góra, his jersey number was retired.
