The 2009 Russian Women's Football Championship was the 18th edition of the top category in Russian women's football. Like the previous year the competition was contested by seven teams, with Lada Togliatti and Zvezda Zvenigorod replacing disbanded teams Nadezhda Noginsk and SKA Rostov to join Energiya Voronezh, ShVSM Izmailovo, WFC Rossiyanka, Ryazan VDV and Zvezda Perm. Twelve game weeks were played from May 7 to October 29, 2009. [1]

The championship was won for the third year in a row by European Cup runner-up Zvezda Perm, which became the first team to achieve this since the competition's foundation in 1992. [2] Rossiyanka was the championship's runner-up, also qualifying for the Champions League. 2004 champion Lada Togliatti was disbanded after Week 9.

The 2011–12 Russian Women's Football Championship was the 20th edition of the Russian premier championship for women's football teams. Like the 2011–12 Russian Premier League, it marked the competition's transition from its traditional spring to autumn model to the Western autumn to spring calendar, running from 16 April 2011 to 28 June 2012. It was contested by eight teams, one more than the previous edition, with Zorky Krasnogorsk and Mordovochka Saransk joining the championship. Defending champion WFC Rossiyanka won its fourth title with a 17 points advantage over newcomer Zorky, which also qualified for the UEFA Champions League as the runner-up. Five-times champion Energiya Voronezh withdrew from the championship following the end of the season for financial reasons.

The 2016 Russian Women's Football Championship is the 25th season of the Russian women's football top level league. Zvezda 2005 Perm is the defending champion.

The 2017 Russian Women's Football Championship was the 26th season of the Russian women's football top level league. WFC Rossiyanka is the defending champion.

This is a compilation of the results of teams representing Russia at the official international competitions for European women's football clubs, that is, the former UEFA Women's Cup and its successor the UEFA Women's Champions League. Russia is one of two associations that have reached the final of the competition but haven't won it, the other being Denmark.
