The women's madison at the 2010 Dutch National Track Championships took place at Sportpaleis Alkmaar in Alkmaar on October 16, 2010. Seven teams participated in the contest.
The madison is a relay race event in track cycling, named after the first Madison Square Garden in New York, and known as the "American race" in French and in Italian and Spanish as Americana.
The 2010 Dutch National Track Championships were the Dutch national Championship for endurance and sprint disciplines for track cycling. The madison discipline took place at 16 October. The other competitions took place at Omnisport Apeldoorn in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands from December 28 to December 30, 2011. The event was organized by the KNWU, and competitions were held of various track cycling disciplines in different age, gender and disability categories.
The Sportpaleis Alkmaar is a velodrome and multisport indoor arena in Alkmaar, the Netherlands. The original velodrome, which was built in 1964 and made of concrete, was renovated in 2003. The concrete track was replaced by a wooden track and was now situated in a completely covered hall. The cycling track is 250 m (820 ft) in length and 6.5 m (21 ft) in width. The maximum slope is 42°. The track encloses a multifunctional indoor sportsfield. The hall has a capacity for 4750 spectators.

Roxane Knetemann is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Team Parkhotel Valkenburg. She is the daughter of former cyclist Gerrie Knetemann. In September 2016 she announced that she would join FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope for the 2017 season after five years riding for Rabo–Liv.
Amy Pieters is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Team Boels–Dolmans. She was a member of the Dutch team that finished sixth at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the team pursuit. In September 2015 it was announced that Pieters would join Wiggle High5 for the 2016 season, after spending five years with Team Liv–Plantur.
Eleonora Maria "Ellen" van Dijk is a Dutch professional road racing cyclist riding for Team Sunweb. Besides road cycling she was also a track cyclist until 2012. Van Dijk is known as a time trial specialist and is five times world champion. She won her first world title on the track in the scratch race in 2008. She became Road World Champion in 2012, 2013 and 2016 with her respective trade teams in the team time trial and in 2013 also in the individual time trial. In 2015, she won the time trial at the first European Games and the silver medal in the team time trial at the world championships.
