The Women's under-23 time trial at the 2010 European Road Championships took place on 15 July. The Championships were hosted by the Turkish city of Ankara. The course was 25.9 km long. [1]

2010 European Road Championships

The 2010 European Road Championships were held in Ankara, Turkey, between 15 and 18 July 2010. The event consisted of a road race and a time trial for men and women under 23 and juniors. The championships were regulated by the European Cycling Union.

Eleonora Maria "Ellen" van Dijk is a Dutch professional road racing cyclist riding for Team Sunweb. Besides road cycling she was also a track cyclist until 2012. Van Dijk is known as a time trial specialist and is five times world champion. She won her first world title on the track in the scratch race in 2008. She became Road World Champion in 2012, 2013 and 2016 with her respective trade teams in the team time trial and in 2013 also in the individual time trial. In 2015, she won the time trial at the first European Games and the silver medal in the team time trial at the world championships.

The women's U23 individual time trial at the 2008 European Road Championships took place on 3 July. The championships were hosted by the Italian city of Pettenasco. The course was 28.1 km long, started in Pettenasco and finished in Stresa.

2009 European Road Championships – Womens under-23 time trial

The Women's under-23 time trial at the 2009 European Road Championships took place on July 1. The Championships were hosted by the Belgian city of Hooglede-Gits. The course was 28.1 km long and had stone sections that were also uphill. The uphill part was seen as an important part of the course where you could easily lose seconds.

European Road Championships annual road cycling championships

The championships are for under-23, junior and Elite riders. The event consisted of a total of 6 road races and 6 time trials, regulated by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme (UEC).
