The Boys' Singles tournament of the 2013 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from July 10–14 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. [1] The defending champion of the last edition was Kento Momota from Japan. [2] Thammasin Sitthikom of Thailand who standing in the top seeds was defeated by the No.5 seeded Soo Teck Zhi of Malaysia in the semifinals, while the second seeded Soong Joo Ven of Malaysia fell in the quarterfinals to Jeon Hyuk-jin of South Korea. [3] Soo Teck Zhi emerged as the champion after beat Jeon Hyuk-jin in the finals with the score 21–17, 13–21, 21–15. [4]

Chen Long, is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is the 2016 Olympic champion, two-time World champion, and an Asian champion.
Lee Yong-dae is a professional badminton player from South Korea who had been successful in both men's and mixed doubles. He reached world number 1 ranking with 4 different partners, Jung Jae-sung, Ko Sung-hyun and Yoo Yeon-seong in men's doubles, and Lee Hyo-jung in mixed doubles. He won a total of 43 Superseries titles, 37 in the men's doubles, the most of any doubles player in one discipline, and 6 in mixed doubles. He was ranked world number 1 in men's doubles for 117 consecutive weeks with his last partner, Yoo Yeon-seong.
Kenichi Tago is a former badminton player from Japan. He is the son of former badminton player Yoshiko Yonekura. In 2010, he reached the final of the All England Open Badminton Championships. En route to the final he beat three seeded players including Nguyen Tien Minh, Chen Jin and Bao Chunlai. In the final, Tago lost to the first seed and reigning World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia with a score of 21–19 and 21–19, following an incorrect line call in Lee Chong Wei's favour at matchpoint. In 2012, he competed at the London 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's singles event, but did not advance to the knock-out stage after being defeated by Niluka Karunaratne of Sri Lanka with a score of 18–21, 16–21. In 2014, he reached the Indonesia Open final after a shocking win over Lee Chong Wei in the semifinal but could not keep up his good form and went on to lose by straight games in the final to Jan O. Jorgensen of Denmark. He competed at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games.

Soo Teck Zhi is a Malaysian badminton player. He participated at the Vietnam Open 2012, 2012 India Open Grand Prix Gold, 2012 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold and the 2013 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold. In 2013 he won the gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in the boys' singles event.

The defending champions of the last edition was Soo Teck Zhi from Malaysia. Aditya Joshi, Jonatan Christie and Zhao Junpeng were the top 3 seeded this year. Shi Yuqi of China emerged as the champion after beat Kanta Tsuneyama of Japan in the finals with the score 19–21, 21–16, 21–16.

Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to senior prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, having won a 2014 Youth Olympic bronze in 2014. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event, becoming the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics. Ginting was part of Indonesia's winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Kento Momota is a Japanese badminton player. He is known to have a skillful and relentless play style on court. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota entered into Guinness Book of World Records for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season.
The 2015 Indonesian Masters Grand Prix Gold was the twentieth grand prix's badminton tournament of the 2015 BWF Grand Prix and Grand Prix Gold. The tournament was held at the Graha Cakrawala Building, State University of Malang Complex in Malang, East Java, Indonesia December 1–6, 2015 and had a total purse of $120,000.
Jeon Hyeok-jin is a Korean badminton player. Specializing in singles, he was runner-up at the 2013 Asian Junior Badminton Championships. He was part of the Korean team that won men's team gold at the 2014 Asian Games and the following year, he beat both Chou Tien-chen and compatriot Son Wan-ho to win gold at the 2015 Summer Universiade. In 2017, he helped the Korean national team to win the world team championships at the Sudirman Cup.
The 2016 Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold will be the 14th grand prix's badminton tournament of the 2016 BWF Grand Prix Gold and Grand Prix. The tournament will be held at Nimibutr Stadium in Bangkok in Thailand 4–9 October 2016 and had a total purse of $120,000.
Shi Yuqi is a Chinese badminton player. Shi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. At the 2017 All England Open, he defeated 6-time champion Lin Dan to reach the final, and repeated the same feat again at the 2018 All England Open, where he outclassed Lin Dan in the tournament final. He also won a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
Soong Joo Ven is a Malaysian badminton player. He was part of the Malaysian team that won gold in the 2011 BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event.
Lee Zii Jia is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the men's singles gold medalist at the 2019 SEA Games and won his first BWF Super 1000 title at the 2021 All England Open. Lee is the 2022 men's singles Asian champion, winning the title at the 2022 Badminton Asia Championships.

Cheam June Wei is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics.
The Boys' Singles tournament of the 2012 Asian Junior Badminton Championships was held from July 3–7 in Gimcheon, South Korea. The defending champion of the last edition was Zulfadli Zulkiffli from Malaysia. The top seeded Sameer Verma of India had lost in the semifinals to third seeded Kento Momota of Japan, while the second seeded Shesar Hiren Rhustavito from Indonesia, lost to Yuki Kaneko of Japan in fourth round. Momota finally emerged as the champion after beat Malaysian player Soong Joo Ven in the finals with the score 21–13, 22–20.
The 2019 Akita Masters was a badminton tournament which took place at CNA Arena Akita in Japan from 13 to 18 August 2019 and had a total purse of $75,000.
The 2023 Malaysia Super 100 was a badminton tournament which took place at the Titiwangsa Stadium in Titiwangsa, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 31 October to 5 November 2023 and had a total purse of $100,000.
