The 2013 FIRS Men's Roller Hockey World Cup was the 41st edition of the FIRS Roller Hockey World Cup. It was held in Luanda and Namibe (today Moçâmedes), Angola from 20 to 28 September 2013. [1] This is the first Roller Hockey World Cup organized in Africa.

The teams to play the World Cup are the first thirteen countries at the last World Cup, and the first three countries qualified at last B World Cup. The group arrangement is already defined. [2]

Luanda is the capital and largest city of Angola. It is Angola's primary port, and its major industrial, cultural and urban centre. Located on Angola's northern Atlantic coast, Luanda is Angola's administrative centre, its chief seaport, and also the capital of the Luanda Province. Moçâmedes is a city in southwestern Angola, capital of Namibe Province. The city's current population is 255,000. Founded in 1840 by the Portuguese colonial administration, the city was named Namibe between 1985 and 2016. Moçâmedes has a cool dry climate and desert vegetation, because it is near the Namib Desert.

Atlético Petróleos de Luanda is a multisports club from Luanda, Angola. The club's men's roller hockey team competes at local level, at the Luanda Provincial Roller Hockey Championship and at the Angolan Roller Hockey Championship. The roller hockey team of Petro Atlético has been the most titled team in Angola for many years. In recent years, its leadership has been successfully challenged by Juventude de viana, and by Académica de Luanda more recently.
