The 2017 Swiss Olympic Curling Trials were held from October 11 to 14 at the Curlinghalle Biel [1] in Biel-Bienne, Switzerland. The winning team represented Switzerland at the 2018 Winter Olympics. There was only a women's event, as the Peter de Cruz rink has already been chosen to represent Switzerland in men's curling. [2]

Contents

The Silvana Tirinzoni rink from Aarau won the event, after posting a 6-0 round robin record, rendering a playoff unnecessary.

Lori Olson, better known as Lori Olson-Johns is a Canadian curler from Edmonton, Alberta. From 2014–2018, she played third for Val Sweeting and with Sweeting, finished runner-up at the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and won two grand slam events.

The 2016 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Curling Championship were held from February 10 to 14 at the Nelson Curling Club in Nelson, British Columbia. The winning Jim Cotter rink represented British Columbia at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier in Ottawa.
