The 2018 Kosovar Supercup was the 17th edition of the Kosovar Supercup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Football Superleague of Kosovo and Kosovar Cup competitions. The match was played between Drita, champions of the 2016–17 Football Superleague of Kosovo and Prishtina, who beat their opponents to win the 2017 Kosovar Cup Final. Watched by a crowd of 10,000, Drita won the match 2–1 and claimed their first Supercup title. [1] [2]

Football Club Drita, commonly known as Drita, is a professional football club based in Gjilan, Kosovo. The club play in the Football Superleague of Kosovo, which is the top tier of football in the country and is the most successful Kosovan team in European competitions since Kosovo was accepted in UEFA.

On 13 August 2018, after renovation was held a 2018 Kosovar Supercup between the winners of the 2017–18 Football Superleague of Kosovo, Drita and 2017–18 Kosovar Cup, Prishtina. Playing for the first time at the recently refurbished Fadil Vokrri Stadium.

The 2017–18 Football Superleague of Kosovo season, also known as the Vala Superleague of Kosovo for sponsorship reasons, is the 19th season of top-tier football in Kosovo. The season began on 18 August 2017 and concluded on 20 May 2018. Trepça'89 are the defending champions from the previous season. A total of 12 teams are competing in the league: nine teams from the 2016–17 season and three promoted from the 2016–17 First League.

The 2017–18 Kosovar Cup was the football knockout competition of Kosovo in the 2017–18 season.

Intelektualët is a ultras group in Gjilan, Kosovo. Founded in January, 1998, Intelektualët are the one of the major football fan groups in Kosovo and one of the largest in Southeast Europe. One thing that distinguishes this group is that they support all sports clubs named Drita in Gjilan.
