The CAMS Australian S5000 Championship held two "launch events" or exhibition meetings in 2019, prior to the inaugural championship season in 2021. These meetings were held as part of the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships, [1] at Sandown Raceway on 21 and 22 September and The Bend Motorsport Park on 16 and 17 November.
The following teams and drivers competed in the races. As the championship is a spec series, all competitors raced with an identical Onroak-Ligier chassis powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.0-litre Ford Coyote V8 engine. [2] [3]

A provisional calendar had initially been announced in 2018, with Sydney Motorsport Park as the season opener and The Bend Motorsport Park as the concluding round. [21] However, after the organisers announced that the series would be delayed four months due to supply issues as well as further S5000 car testing, the first race of the series was pushed back to 22 September, 2019 at Sandown Raceway. At each meeting, a qualifying session, two qualifying heats and a Main Event were held. [22] Meeting points were awarded to the fastest six qualifiers in qualifying. Drivers in the top 75% of the field then selected their grid position for the first qualifying heat (held on Saturday), with the top ten positions reversed for the second qualifying heat, held on Sunday. [24] The grid for the Main Event was defined by the points earned by the drivers across the weekend, held later on Sunday. [24]

The Supercars Championship is a touring car racing category in Australia and run as an International Series under Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) regulations. Scott McLaughlin is the most recent champion.
Jamie Whincup is an Australian professional racing driver competing in the Repco Supercars Championship. He currently drives the No. 88 Holden ZB Commodore for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He has won seven Supercars titles, four Bathurst 1000 victories, and a Bathurst 12 Hour victory. Whincup is the all-time record holder in the Supercars Championship for race wins, at 119 career wins. He is also the first driver to win the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy twice at Pukekohe Park Raceway in Auckland, New Zealand.
The Sandown 500 was an annual endurance motor race which was staged at the Sandown Raceway, near Melbourne, Victoria, Australia from 1964 to 2019. The event's name, distance – and the category of cars competing in it – has varied widely throughout its history. Most recently, the event was held as a championship event for Supercars from 2003 to 2007 and from 2012 to 2019.

James Davison is an Australian professional race driver who drives an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 in the Blancpain GT World Challenge America, the No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for Spire Motorsports, and the No. 51 Ford Mustang and No. 53 Camaro for Rick Ware Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series on a part-time schedule. He has also competed in the NTT IndyCar Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. He is sometimes also called JD Davison.
The 2010 Fujitsu V8 Supercars Series was an Australian motor racing competition for V8 Supercars. It was the eleventh running of the V8 Supercar Development series. The series supported the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series, beginning on 11 March at the Clipsal 500 and ending on 5 December at the Sydney 500 after seven rounds.

The 2012 International V8 Supercar Championship was an FIA sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It was the sixteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the sixteenth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title. The championship began on 1 March at the Clipsal 500 and concluded on 2 December at the Homebush Street Circuit. The 53rd Australian Touring Car Championship title was awarded to the winner of the Drivers' Championship by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport.
Chaz Mostert is an Australia professional racing driver competing in the Repco Supercars Championship. He currently drives the No. 25 Holden ZB Commodore for Walkinshaw Andretti United. Mostert was the winner of the 2014 Bathurst 1000 with Paul Morris and has also previously won the 2010 Australian Formula Ford Championship. At the conclusion of the 2019 season, Mostert signed for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
The 2014 Dunlop Series was an Australian motor racing competition for V8 Supercars. It was the fifteenth running of the V8 Supercar Development Series, a support series to the International V8 Supercars Championship. The 2014 season featured a new format for the Dunlop Series weekends. Each round of the series – with the exception of Bathurst – featured two forty-minute races, rather than a range of two-race and three-race weekends. The Bathurst round was a single-race event, held over an endurance distance of 250 kilometres, and allowing for optional driver changes.

The Enduro Cup, was an award given out to the highest points scorers over the three endurance events in Supercars; the Sandown 500, Bathurst 1000 and the Gold Coast 600.
The Sandown Challenge was a Supercars motor racing event held at Sandown Raceway in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The event was a semi-regular part of the Supercars Championship—and its previous incarnations, the Australian Touring Car Championship, Shell Championship Series and V8 Supercars Championship between 1965 and 2011.

The Bend SuperSprint is an annual motor racing event for Supercars, held at The Bend Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend, South Australia since 2018. In 2020, after originally being intended to be an endurance race of 500km, the Tailem Bend races were re-purposed as two consecutive sprint race weekends in a revised calendar due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was the twenty-fourth running of the Supercars Championship and the twenty-fourth series in which Supercars have contested the Australian Touring Car Championship, the premier title in Australian motorsport. Due to disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of rounds were rescheduled or cancelled.
The 2006 V8 Supercars Winton round was a motor race for V8 Supercars held on the weekend of 2–4 June 2006. The event was held at the Winton Motor Raceway in Benalla, Victoria, and consisted of three races culminating in 378 kilometres. It was the fourth round of thirteen in the 2006 V8 Supercar Championship Series.
The 2020 Bathurst 1000 was an motor racing event for Supercars that was held on the weekend of 15–18 October 2020. It was held at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia and featured a single 1000 kilometre race. The event was the final round of the 2020 Supercars Championship and the final time Supercheap Auto was the naming rights sponsor, having been so since 2005.
