The 2021 European Champions Cup was the 58th iteration of the top European baseball club competition. It was held in Ostrava and Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic from 13 to 17 July 2021. [1]

Contents

The cup featured eight teams: hosts Arrows Ostrava from Czech Republic, Rouen Huskies form France, Bonn Capitals and Heidenheim Heideköpfe from Germany, Fortitudo Bologna and Parma Baseball from Italy and Amsterdam Pirates and Curaçao Neptunus from the Netherlands. [1]

Parma Baseball won the tournament after defeating Bonn Capitals 6–4 in the final game. Fortitudo Bologna claimed the bronze medal with a victory over Curaçao Neptunus 11–9. Infielder Alex Sambucci from Parma Baseball received the Most Valuable Player award of the tournament. [2] [3]

Euro League Baseball (ELB) was a professional baseball league in Europe founded by the European Association of Professional Baseball (EAPB) which played a single season in 2016. The Bonn Capitals are a German baseball and softball club from Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, founded on November 8, 1989. Its first men's team has been competing in the Baseball Bundesliga since 1994 and currently plays in its northern division, the Bundesliga Nord, after initially playing in the southern division until 1996. The women's softball team was promoted to the northern division of the Softball Bundesliga in 2018.

The 2022 WBSC Men's Softball World Championship was the 17th Men's Softball World Championship, an international softball tournament taking place in Auckland, New Zealand from 26 November to 4 December 2022. Originally scheduled for February 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New Zealand last hosted the tournament in 2013. It will be the 17th edition of the tournament.

The 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup will be the 9th Women's Baseball World Cup, an international baseball tournament taking place in Thunder Bay, Canada, and one other to be determined location. The group stage will take place from 8-13 August 2023 as two separate tournaments in two separate locations. The finals will take place in Thunder Bay, Canada in 2024. This is the first Women's Baseball World Cup event to be held in two stages. It will be the third time Canada have hosted the tournament. It is also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. Japan are the defending champions.
