The 2022 AAMI Community Series was the Australian Football League (AFL) pre-season competition played before the 2022 home and away season. Each team played one match. All matches were televised live on Fox Footy as well as on the Kayo Sports app. [1]

After being undrafted in 2016, Baker then played senior WAFL football with Subiaco. Baker was drafted by the Richmond tigers in the 2018 rookie draft and made his AFL debut in round 19, 2018. He was an AFL premiership player with Richmond in 2019 and 2020, and in 2020 was named to the AFL's 22Under22 team, recognising the best young players in the league. In 2022, Baker was presented the AFLPA most Courageous in the AFL award. The captain of the Richmond Football Club, Dylan Grimes, presented the award to Baker, with Patrick Dangerfield announcing the achievement.

2022 AFL Women's season 6 was the sixth season of the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition, the highest-level senior women's Australian rules football competition in Australia. The season featured 14 clubs and ran from 7 January to 9 April, comprising a ten-round home-and-away season followed by a three-week finals series featuring the top six clubs. It was the first of two seasons to take place in the 2022 calendar year, with the competition's seventh season held from August to November.

Geelong also fielded a women's team in both 2022 AFL Women's season 6 and 2022 AFL Women's season 7, and a men's and women's reserves team in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and the VFL Women's (VFLW) respectively.
