The 2023 Colombian regional elections were held on 29 October 2023. [1] 32 governors and departmental assemblies and 1,102 mayors were elected. [2]

The Colombian peace agreement referendum was held on 2 October 2016, aiming to ratify the final agreement on the termination of the Colombian conflict between the Colombian government and the FARC guerillas. It failed, with 50.2% voting against it and 49.8% voting in favor. Approval of the referendum was taken for granted in Colombia prior to the vote based on opinion polls. However, the 'No' option ended up winning by a narrow margin.

The 2017 Categoría Primera A season was the 70th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Santa Fe were the defending champions having won the title in the 2016 season's Finalización tournament. The season started on 3 February and concluded on 17 December.

The 2021 Bolivian regional elections were held on 7 March 2021. Departmental and municipal authorities were elected by an electorate of approximately 7 million people. This was the third regional election under the 2009 constitution. It was postponed from the expected date of 2020 due to the 2019 Bolivian political crisis and delays in holding the 2020 Bolivian general election. All elected authorities assumed office on 3 May.

Presidential elections were held in Colombia on 29 May 2022, with a runoff on 19 June 2022 as no candidate obtained at least 50% in the first round of voting. Iván Duque, who was elected president in 2018, was ineligible to run due to term limits. Gustavo Petro, a senator, former Mayor of Bogota, and runner-up in the 2018 election, defeated Rodolfo Hernández Suárez, former mayor of Bucaramanga, in the runoff election. Petro's victory made him the first left-wing candidate to be elected president of Colombia, and his running mate, Francia Márquez, is the first Afro-Colombian elected to the vice-presidency, as well as the second female vice-president overall.

The 2024 Puerto Rico gubernatorial election will be held on November 5, 2024, to elect the governor of Puerto Rico, concurrently with the election of the Resident Commissioner, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the mayors of the 78 municipalities. Incumbent New Progressive Party Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia ran for re-election to a second term in office, but lost the PNP primary to Resident Commissioner Jenniffer Gonzalez Colon.

The 2021 La Paz gubernatorial election was held on Sunday, 7 March 2021, with a runoff taking place on 11 April 2021, involving separate contests for governor and all forty-five seats in the Departmental Legislative Assembly. Incumbent governor Félix Patzi unsuccessfully sought reelection to a second term, finishing in fourth place with 4.36 percent of the popular vote. The election was won by Jallalla La Paz's Santos Quispe, who attained 55.23 percent of the vote in the second round, defeating Franklin Flores of the Movement for Socialism. On the legislative ballot, the Movement for Socialism won sixteen of the twenty provincial circumscriptions and nine of the twenty party-list seats, retaining its twenty-five seat majority in the Legislative Assembly.

It tells the story of vallenato music composer Leandro Díaz, played by Silvestre Dangond, based on the book Leandro written by Alonso Sánchez Baute. The series aired from 19 September 2022 to 28 February 2023.

<i>Entre sombras</i> (Colombian TV series) Colombian telenovela

Entre sombras is a Colombian telenovela created by Diego Arbeláez. It aired on Caracol Televisión from 19 September 2022 to 16 December 2022. The telenovela follows Julia and Magdalena, agents of an elite group, who seek to solve priority crimes in record time, while also being in the middle of a love triangle with Ivan, a criminalist. The cases featured in the series are inspired by real life events that have been reported in the news magazine show El Rastro. It stars Flora Martínez, Margarita Muñoz, and Rodrigo Candamil.

Erasmo Elías Zuleta Bechara is a Colombian politician and business administrator, from 2018 to 2022 he served as a member of the Chamber of Representatives representing the department of Córdoba, serving on the Third Commission of the Chamber. He would later be elected as Governor of Córdoba during the 2023 Córdoba regional election through his Córdoba First movement, receiving political support from the Party of the U, and the Liberal party.

The 2023 Córdoba regional election will be held on October 29, 2023, in the department of Córdoba, where the following positions will be elected for a period of four years from January 1, 2024.

Andrés Julián Rendon Cardona is a Colombian politician and public administrator. From 2001 to 2006 he was a councilor of Rionegro, from 2008 to 2011 as Secretary of the Government of Rionegro. He would later serve as Mayor of Rionegro from 2016 to 2019, and most recently elected as Governor of Antioquia, during the 2023 Colombian regional elections.
