Olympic qualification

Final qualifications for women's tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics took place from February 6 to February 9. ^[1]

2025 World Ice Hockey Divisions for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will take place between December 9, 2024 and May 25, 2025.

World Junior Ice Hockey Championships

• December 26, 2024 – January 5: 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship in Ottawa
  • The   United States defeated   Finland, 4–3 in overtime, to win their second consecutive and seventh overall World Junior Ice Hockey Championship title.
