2nd Forestry Engineering Division(Chinese :林业工程第2师) was activated in August 1952. The division was composed of:

Hainan is the smallest and southernmost province of the People's Republic of China (PRC), consisting of various islands in the South China Sea. Hainan Island, separated from Guangdong's Leizhou Peninsula by the Qiongzhou Strait, is the largest and most populous island under PRC control and makes up the majority of the province.

The 213th Army Division was created in February 1962 in Shenyang Military Region. It was a mountain infantry unit operating in Paektu Mountain region. On December 28, 1964 the division was renamed as 1st Independent Division of Jilin Provincial Military District(Chinese: 吉林省军区独立第1师), and on February 29, 1976 it was further renamed as Independent Division of Jilin Provincial Military District(Chinese: 吉林省军区独立师) after the disbandment of 2nd Independent Division of Jilin Provincial Military District.
