5th Ward Series (Season 1 Original Soundtrack) is the debut soundtrack album by the cast of the American drama television series 5th Ward The Series , which airs on UMC.tv. It was released through director Greg Carter's company Nexus Entertainment in partnership with the Coutrá Music Group on March 2, 2018 as a free soundtrack on Spotify. [1]

A soundtrack album is any album that incorporates music directly recorded from the soundtrack of a particular feature film or television show. The first such album to be commercially released was Walt Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the soundtrack to the film of the same name, in 1938. The first soundtrack album of a film's orchestral score was that for Alexander Korda's 1942 film Jungle Book, composed by Miklós Rózsa. However, this album added the voice of Sabu, the film's star, narrating the story in character as Mowgli.

<i>5th Ward The Series</i> US television program

5th Ward The Series is an American television drama series written, produced, and created by director Greg Carter and premiered on UMC - Urban Movie Channel on March 2, 2018. The series is based on director Greg Carter's first movie Fifth Ward (1998). It is centered around the life of Mina, a single mother of two struggling to make ends meet; as well as several additional locals and town officials residing in the historical district of Houston's Fifth Ward and serves as a prequel with season one consisting of six episodes airing weekly. It stars Carl Anthony Payne and Mýa with a feature ensemble cast of Brittany Bullock, Corr Kendricks, Nephew Tommy, Christopher Jefferson, Chris O'Neal, Gary Sturgis and Lew Temple. 5th Ward The Series along with other UMC's original series had a preview screening at the 26th Annual Pan African Film Festival on February 10, 2018. The series was renewed for a second season which will consist of six episodes and air early 2020.

Lord Huron American indie folk band

Lord Huron is an American indie folk band based in Los Angeles. The group's debut album, Lonesome Dreams, was released in 2012 on Iamsound in the US and Play It Again Sam in UK and Ireland in January 2013. The band’s name was inspired by Lake Huron, the lake which band founder Ben Schneider grew up visiting, where he would spend evenings playing music around the campfire.
