It is a department of the Heraklion Tennis and Team Sports Club, a multi-sport club established in Heraklion in 1928. The club's basketball department was founded in 1968, and currently competes in the Cretan Basket League, hosting its home games at the Heraklion Indoor Sports Arena, a multi-purpose indoor arena with a capacity of 5,500 spectators. Irakleio is considered the most successful basketball club in Heraklion, being the sole club to have represented the city in the top-tier Greek Basket League, as well as the most successful club on the island of Crete, at least until the rise of the Rethymno Cretan Kings in the early 2010s. Iraklio OAA further administers competitive departments for tennis, table tennis and chess.
Aris Thessaloniki Football Club is a Greek professional football club based in the city of Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece, part of the multi-sports club A.C. Aris Thessaloniki. Aris is one of Greece's most successful clubs, having won the fourth most Super League titles after Olympiacos, Panathinaikos and AEK Athens, while they are tied with PAOK. Created in 1914 as Aris Thessaloniki Football Club, the club was a founding member of the Macedonian Football Clubs Association, as well as the Hellenic Football Federation. The colours of the club are golden/yellow, a dominant colour in the culture of Macedonia and reminiscent of the Byzantine heritage of Thessaloniki, and black. The Lido Indoor Hall, or simply, the Lido Hall, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in the city of Heraklion, on the island of Crete, in Greece. It is named after the district where it's located, called Lido. The arena has been used to host a variety of sports events, such as volleyball, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling and Mixed martial arts, but its primary use is hosting basketball games. It is the home of Ergotelis B.C. of the Greek C Basket League and former home of Irakleio B.C. during its tenure in Greek A1 Basketball League. It is part of the Heraklion National Sports Centre, and is located next to the Pankritio Stadium. It has a seating capacity of 1,400.
