Galata, Cyprus Place in Nicosia District, Cyprus

Galata is a village in the Solea valley, located about 60 km west of the capital Nicosia, at an altitude of 620 m in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus. It began on 8 September 2007 with the first round and concluded on 17 May 2008 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. APOEL won their 19th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Anorthosis 2–0 in the final.

The 2006–07 Cypriot Cup was the 65th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 54 clubs entered the competition. It began on 16 September 2006 with the first round and concluded on 12 May 2007 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium. Anorthosis won their 10th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Omonia 3–2 in the final.

The Painted Churches in the Troödos Region is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Troödos Mountains of central Cyprus. The complex comprises ten Byzantine churches and monasteries richly decorated with Byzantine and post-Byzantine murals:

The Cypriot Third Division is the third tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Each year, the top finishing teams of the league are promoted to the Cypriot Second Division, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to the STOK Elite Division.
