Abdelaziz al-'Arbaoui (Arabic : عبد العزيز العرباوي), commonly known as Stati (الستاتي), is a Moroccan singer born in Laaounate, Sidi Bennour Province in 1961. His name "Stati" comes from the fact that he has a sixth finger on his left hand. [1] [2] [3]

Abdelaziz Stati's discography consists of multiple Moroccan musical genres like: Aita, Chaabi, Jra and Kaada. His instrument of choice is the violin. [6]
Stati was the subject of scandal in 2018 when a young woman, Ilham, claimed she was his daughter. Stati initially denied any involvement or interest in her life but later, after finding out she was in fact his daughter, met with her. [7]
The Tijjani order is a Sufi order of Sunni Islam named after Ahmad al-Tijani. It originated in the Maghreb but now more widespread in West Africa, particularly in Senegal, Gambia, Mauritania, Mali, Guinea, Niger, Chad, Ghana, Northern and Southwestern Nigeria and some parts of Sudan. The Tijāniyyah order is also present in the states of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka in India. Its adherents are called Tijānī. To become a member of the order, one must receive the Tijānī wird, or a sequence of holy phrases to be repeated twice daily, from a muqaddam, or representative of the order.
