ʻAbd al-Majīd, also spelled as Abd ul Majid, Abd ul-Majid, Abd ol Majid, Abd ol-Majid, and Abdolmajid, is a Muslim male given name and, in modern usage, surname. It is built from the Arabic words ʻabd and al-Majīd, one of the names of God in the Qur'an, which give rise to the Muslim theophoric names. It means "servant of the All-glorious". It is rendered in Turkish as Abdülmecid.
Abdul Razzaq is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer, who played all formats of the game. Known as a gifted all-rounder, he was a right-arm fast-medium bowler and a right-handed batsman. He emerged in international cricket in 1996 with his One Day International debut against Zimbabwe at his home ground in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore; just one month before his seventeenth birthday. He was part of the Pakistan Cricket squad that won the ICC World Twenty20 2009. He played 265 ODIs and 46 Tests.
Abdul Qadir Khan SI was an international cricketer who bowled leg spin for Pakistan. Abdul Qadir is widely regarded as a legendary leg spinner from the 1970s and 1980s and was a role model for up and coming leg spinners. Qadir was voted the best player in the Group B matches of the 1987 Cricket World Cup and won a car which he donated to Imran Khan for his Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre project. Later he was a commentator and Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board, from which he resigned in 2009 due to differences of opinion with leading Pakistan cricket administrators.
Abdul Hafeez Kardar PP, HI was a Pakistani cricketer, politician and diplomat. He was the first captain of the Pakistan cricket team. He is one of the only three players to have played Test cricket for both India and Pakistan.
Majid Jahangir Khan, nicknamed "Majestic Khan" by the British press, is a former cricketer, batsman and captain of the Pakistan national cricket team. Majid played his last Test for Pakistan in January 1983 against India at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore and his last One Day International (ODI) was in July 1982 against England at Old Trafford, Manchester.

Rana Majid Haq Khan, better known as Majid Haq, is a Scottish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented Scotland at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 levels, making his debut for the senior side on 20 July 2002 in a European Championship match against an England Board XI. He was a member of the Scottish squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. Haq is a cousin of fellow cricketer Omer Hussain. Both Hussain and Haq have played for Kelburne Cricket Club, Ferguslie Cricket Club and Clydesdale Cricket Club. He now plays for the Ayrshire-based club, Prestwick Cricket Club. Haq is of Pakistani descent.
Omer Hussain is a Scottish cricket player of Pakistani descent. He made his debut for the Scottish cricket team on 18 September 2005 in a C&G Trophy match against Warwickshire. He has played seven times in all for Scotland, including two One Day Internationals. He has also represented his country at Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 level and at international levels. Omer Hussain is a left-handed batsman and is cousin of fellow Scottish international cricketer Majid Haq. Both Omer and Majid have played for Kelburne Cricket Club, Ferguslie Cricket Club and Omer currently plays for Kelburne Cricket Club
The Pakistan cricket team toured England in the 1974 season to play a three-match Test series against England. The first Test of the series was England's 500th Test match. The series was tied 0-0 with all three matches drawn. The team completed their 22-match itinerary undefeated, the first touring team to do so in England since 1948.
The Pakistan national cricket team toured Australia in the 1972–73 season and played three Test matches against the Australian national cricket team. After an inadequate preparation against weak teams, Pakistan lost by an innings in the first Test in Adelaide. While Australia won the series 3–0, the last two tests were competitive, with Pakistan seeming the likely winner on the second last days. The 2nd test in Melbourne was attended by 115,721. Pakistan also visited Sri Lanka and played a match against the Sri Lankan national cricket team and followed the tour with a series against New Zealand, where both teams played their first ODI.

The Pakistan national cricket team toured New Zealand in January and February 1973 and played a three-match Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. Pakistan won the series 1-0. It was their first Test series win outside Pakistan. In addition, a Limited Overs International (LOI) took place between the second and third Tests; this match was the inaugural LOI of both teams.
