Alla Yakovlevna Ioshpe (Yoshpe) (Russian : А́лла Я́ковлевна Ио́шпе (Йо́шпе); 13 June 1937 – 30 January 2021) [1] was a Soviet and Russian pop singer, and a People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2002). [2] [3]
Yoshpe was born in Moscow into a Jewish family. She studied philosophy at Moscow State University and while a student sang with the university's symphony orchestra. [4]
In 1960, at a university event, she met Stakhan Rakhimov and the pair formed a pop duo. [5] The pair performed both in the Soviet Union and overseas. [4]
Alla Borisovna Pugacheva is a Soviet and Russian musical performer. Her career started in 1965 and continues to this day, even though she has retired from performing. For her "clear mezzo-soprano and a full display of sincere emotions", she enjoys an iconic status across the former Soviet Union as the most successful Soviet performer in terms of record sales and popularity.
Tamara Nikolayevna Moskvina is a Russian pair skating coach and former competitive skater. Competing in pairs with Alexei Mishin, she became the 1969 World silver medalist and Soviet national champion.

Litsey is a Russian pop rock girl group from Moscow, formed on 12 December 1991. The original band's imagery – teen female trio with guitars – was unusual in post-Soviet Russia. "Arlekino" is a song by Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. The song was co-authored by Bulgarian composer Emil Dimitrov and Russian poet Boris Barkas. In 1975, the song was recorded in the studio and released on the singer's first solo extended play Arlekino. It simultaneously became a staple at live performances. For this song, Alla Pugacheva was awarded the Grand Prix of the 1975 Golden Orpheus international song contest in Bulgaria.
Miron Naumovich Sher was a Soviet-born American chess player, who was awarded the title of Grandmaster (GM) by FIDE in 1992. Towards the end of the Soviet era, he began winning the open sections at international tournaments. In 1991, when the Soviet Union dissolved, Sher became a Russian citizen. In 1997, Sher, his wife, Woman Grandmaster (WGM) Alla Grinfeld (ru), and their son, Mikhail, who then was 14, emigrated to America and settled in Brooklyn. Sher went on to become a distinguished scholastic chess coach and clinician in New York and was instrumental in developing several internationally strong players, notably Fabiano Caruana, many times number two in the world, and Robert Hess, who at age 15, while attending Stuyvesant High School, became an international master and at 16, a grandmaster. Before immigrating, Sher had also coached a number of students around Europe, includingPeter Heine Nielsen.
