Geographical scope

The constituency comprises parts of Ambernath taluka viz. revenue circles Ambernath (Rural), and Ambernath Municipal Council, parts of Ulhasnagar taluka that is parts of Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation that is wards 14 to 22 and 44 to 51. [1]

Thane district is a district in the Konkan Division of Maharashtra, India. At the 2011 Census it was the most populated district in the country, with 11,060,148 inhabitants; however, in August 2014 the district was split into two with the creation of a new Palghar district, leaving the reduced Thane district with a 2011 Census population of 8,070,032. The headquarters of the district is the city of Thane. He also worked as President of Thane Zilla Parishad from 2002 to 2004. He moved from Nationalist Congress Party to Bharatiya Janata Party in October 2014.
