Anatharu (English: Orphans) is a 2007 Indian Kannada action drama film directed by Sadhu Kokila and is the Kannada remake of the 2003 Tamil film Pithamagan . [1] It stars Upendra, Darshan, Radhika, and Sanghavi. Upon theatrical release, the film met with favourable reviews, critics particularly highlighting with Upendra's portrayal of Rudra, an orphaned gravedigger.

Reception

A critic from The Times of India wrote that "Though the first half of the film fails to impress, the latter half is more comprehensible. But the overdose of blood-curdling violence sends out a wrong message". [2] A critic from Rediff.com wrote that "If you have not seen Pithamagan, Anaatharu is definitely worth watching especially for Upendra and the efforts of Sadhu's technical team". [3]

V. Harikrishna is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, playback singer and film producer. He has mainly scored music for Kannada films. Since then, he has been scoring for majority of Darshan's films besides working for many other leading production houses. Ayya is a 2005 Indian Kannada film directed by Om Prakash Rao, starring Darshan and Rakshitha. Darshan plays the role of a brave police officer prepared to go to any lengths to control crime in the city. The background music and soundtrack have been scored by V. Ravichandran. The director had revealed that he had copied scenes from ten movies including the Tamil movies Saamy and Madhurey.
