Anbukku Naan Adimai (transl. I am a slave to love) is a Tamil language film, directed by R. Thyagarajan and produced under the Devar Films banner by C. Dandayuthapani. It stars Rajinikanth, Vijayan, Surulirajan, Thengai Srinivasan, Asokan, Sundarrajan, Sujatha, Rathi, Ramaprabha and Jayamalini. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu as Mayadari Krishnudu, with Sridhar replacing Vijayan and a slightly different supporting cast that included Satyanarayana, Mohan Babu, and Allu Rama Lingaiah.
The characters played by Sujatha, Rathi, and Jayamalini were retained for the Telugu version. The character Gopinath is renamed Krishna in the Telugu version.
Vijayan (Sridhar in Telugu), the Inspector and Rajini a thief, are brothers who get separated in childhood. When they meet in a strange situation, Vijayan is thrown out of the train and Rajini lands in the village as the inspector and the events following is the story. Rathi who performs a dance in the street helps Rajini and steals his heart.
The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Bobbili Puli is a 1982 Indian Telugu-language action film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Sridevi and music composed by J. V. Raghavulu. The film was a big hit, collecting 3.5 Crore in its theatrical run. It was remade in Hindi as Zakhmi Sher (1984).

The film was a remake of the Hindi film Maa (1976).
Aadu Puli Aattam is a 1977 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by S. P. Muthuraman, starring Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Sangeetha and Sripriya. Later in 1978, S. P. Muthuraman remade the film in Telugu as Yetthuku Pai Yetthu, It was a partial remake of Aadu Puli Aattum. A few scenes were remade in Telugu with Telugu actors like Satyanarayana and Allu Ramalingaiah and the rest of the movie was dubbed.
Thaayillamal Naan Illai is a 1979 Tamil language film starring Kamal Haasan, Sridevi, Major Sundarrajan and Jai Ganesh in the lead roles with Rajnikanth and Nagesh in guest roles. The movie was a super hit at the box office and it was dubbed into Telugu as Paatagaadu and Hindi as Aakhri Sangram.
Nari Nari Naduma Murari is a 1990 Telugu-language comedy film, produced by K. Murari under the Yuva Chitra Arts banner and directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shobana, Nirosha and music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. This is the 50th film of Nandamuri Bala Krishna and it was recorded as a Super Hit at the box office. During the pre-climax scene, Balakrishna does not appear for more than 20 minutes, which is uncommon in Telugu films.
Kathanayakudu (transl. Hero) is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language drama film produced by Aswani Dutt and G. P. Vijayakumar. It is directed by P. Vasu. The film is a remake of the Malayalam film Kadha Parayumbol (2007) and stars Jagapati Babu and Meena, with Rajinikanth in a cameo. Sunil and Dharmavarapu play pivotal roles. The film was a commercial success and received positive reviews. It was simultaneously made in Tamil as Kuselan, which released to mixed reviews and was a below average grosser. Most of Rajinikanth's portions were dubbed from the Tamil version, except the climax scene with Babu.
