Anil Panachooran (20 November 1969 – 3 January 2021) was an Indian lawyer, poet and lyricist, who worked in the Malayalam film industry. [1] [2] [3] While undergoing treatment for COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in India, he died on 3 January 2021, following a cardiac arrest. [4]

He was an Indian poet and lyricist, who worked predominantly in the Malayalam film industry and Malayalam poetry. [5] [6] [7] He was a lawyer by profession. He had written more than 200 songs in the Malayalam film industry.

Death

While undergoing treatment for COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in India, he died on 3 January 2021, following a cardiac arrest. [8] [9] [10] Upon his death, relatives demanded a postmortem and police later registered a case of unnatural death. [11]

Ottaplakkal Neelakandan Velu Kurup was a Malayalam poet and lyricist from Kerala, India, who won the Jnanpith Award, the highest literary award in India for the year 2007. He received the awards Padma Shri in 1998 and Padma Vibhushan in 2011, the fourth and second highest civilian honours from the Government of India. In 2007 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by University of Kerala, Trivandrum. O. N. V. was known for his leftist leaning. He was a leader of All India Students Federation (AISF). He died on 13 February 2016 at KIMS hospital in Thiruvananthapuram due to age-related illnesses, aged 84.

Sujatha was an Indian actress who performed and starred in a variety of unique characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R.
