Aqqala (Persian : آق قلا, also Romanized as Āq Qalā) [2] is a city and capital of Aqqala County, in Golestan Province, in northern Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 27,402, in 5,811 families. [3]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is a Western Iranian language belonging to the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian subdivision of the Indo-European languages.
