Sound sculpture is an intermedia and time based art form in which sculpture or any kind of art object produces sound, or the reverse. Most often sound sculpture artists were primarily either visual artists or composers, not having started out directly making sound sculpture.
Sound installation is an intermedia and time based art form. It is an expansion of an art installation in the sense that it includes the sound element and therefore the time element. The main difference with a sound sculpture is that a sound installation has a three-dimensional space and the axes with which the different sound objects are being organized are not exclusively internal to the work, but also external. A work of art is an installation only if it makes a dialog with the surrounding space. A sound installation is usually a site-specific but sometimes it can be readapted to other spaces. It can be made either in close or open spaces, and context is fundamental to determine how a sound installation will be aesthetically perceived. The difference between a regular art installation and a sound installation is that the later one has the time element, which gives the visiting public the possibility to stay a longer time due possible curiosity over the development of sound. This temporal factor also gives the audience the excuse to explore the space thoroughly due to the dispositions of the different sounds in space.

The Tractors were an American country rock band composed of a loosely associated group of musicians headed by guitarist Steve Ripley. Under the band's original lineup, The Tractors was signed to Arista Records in 1994, releasing their self-titled debut album that year; the album only produced one Top 40 hit on the Billboard country charts.
Larry Stewart is an American country music singer, best known for his role as lead singer of the country pop band Restless Heart. In 1993, Stewart left the band in pursuit of a solo career, recording four solo albums and charting eight singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts before reuniting with Restless Heart in 2002. His highest-charting solo single was "Alright Already", which peaked at No. 5 in 1993.
Tryin' to Get There is the fourth studio album by American country music artist David Lee Murphy. It was released on March 23, 2004 on Audium Records. Its lead-off single "Loco", released in early 2004, was a Top 5 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts. "Inspiration" was also released, but failed to make Top 40. Audium/Koch closed its country division in 2005.

Songs from the Grass String Ranch is the fifth studio album released by the Southern American country rock band The Kentucky Headhunters. It was released in 2000 on Audium Entertainment. The album includes the singles "Too Much to Lose", "Louisianna CoCo" and "Love That Woman." Although "Too Much to Lose" reached number 66 on the country charts, the other two singles failed to chart.
Audium is a sound art event that has been presented weekly in San Francisco since 1967. Audium is a creation of composer Stan Shaff that is performed on original equipment designed by Doug McEachern. It is played in a completely dark theater designed to heighten the spatial effects of sound and for "choreographing sound in space." Compositions are developed from acoustic and electronic instruments and from sounds of the natural world used as metaphors. Works are "sculpted" in space through 176 speakers.
