The 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships acts as the final selection event for the Australian 2010 Commonwealth Games team. 53 swimmers have been selected to represent Australia at the 2010 Pan Pacs to be held in Irvine, California. The team was selected through the results of the 2010 Australian Swimming Championships and is as follows:

2010 Commonwealth Games 19th edition of the Commonwealth Games

The 2010 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XIX Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Delhi 2010, was an international multi-sport event that was held in Delhi, India, from 3 to 14 October 2010. A total of 6081 athletes from 71 Commonwealth nations and dependencies competed in 21 sports and 272 events, making it the largest Commonwealth Games to date. It was also the largest international multi-sport event to be staged in Delhi and India, eclipsing the Asian Games in 1951 and 1982. The opening and closing ceremonies were held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the main stadium of the event.

2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships

The eleventh edition of the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, also known as the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Swimming Championships, a long course (50 m) event, was held in Irvine, California, United States, from August 18–22.

The Irvine Company started developing the area in the 1960s and the city was formally incorporated on December 28, 1971. Daniel Arnamnart is an Australian competitive swimmer who specialises in backstroke events.

Leith Brodie is an Australian sprint freestyle and medley swimmer who is an Olympic bronze medalist and was trained by John Robinson at Albany Creek Swim Club. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, Brodie won a pair of bronze medals as a member of the Australian teams in the men's 4×100-metre freestyle relay and the 4x200-metre freestyle relay.

Ashley Callus Australian swimmer, Olympic gold medallist, former world record-holder

Ashley John Callus is an Australian former sprint freestyle swimmer, who won a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Cate Natalie Campbell,, is an Australian competitive swimmer, and a current multiple world record holder, who won two bronze medals at the 2008 Summer Olympics, a gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics and a gold and a silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She is the current world record holder in the Long Course 4 x 100 m Freestyle Relay with Team Australia and the short course 100 m freestyle.

Due to illness, Cate Campbell has withdrawn from the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships. Sally Foster will take her spot and possibly earn a spot on the 2010 Commonwealth Games team.
