The Autostrada A7 is an Italian motorway which connects Milan to Genoa.
The Milan - Serravalle Scrivia section of the motorway was operated by Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali, which the concession would last until 2028.
Italy has a well developed transport infrastructure. The Italian rail network is extensive, especially in the north, and it includes a high-speed rail network that joins the major cities of Italy from Naples through northern cities such as Milan and Turin. The Florence–Rome high-speed railway was the first high-speed line opened in Europe when more than half of it opened in 1977. Serravalle Scrivia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Alessandria in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Turin and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Alessandria.
The Autostrada A9 or Autostrada dei Laghi is a motorway in northern Italy. Built in 1924, it was the first motorway in Italy and in the world.
The Autostrada A4, or Serenissima, is a motorway which connects Turin and Trieste via Milan and Venice. The city of Venice originally formed a bottleneck on the A4, but is now bypassed by the Passante di Mestre. The A4 passes just north of the city of Milan, where it is toll-free.
The Milan–Bologna high-speed railway is a railway line that links the cities of Milan and Bologna, part of the Italian high-speed rail network. It runs parallel to the historical north–south railway between Milan and Bologna, which itself follows the ancient Roman Road, the Via Aemilia. The new railway follows the Autostrada A1 closely for much of its length. The new line allows faster traffic to run separated and increase the overall railway capacity between the two cities.

The Milan–Verona high-speed railway is an Italian 165-kilometre (103-mile) long high-speed railway line, that is partly open and partly under construction to connect Milan with Verona. The route operates through the regions of Lombardy and Veneto. The line is part of Railway axis 6 of the Trans-European rail network (TEN-T) on the Pan-European Corridor V. The line will replace the Milan–Venice railway for high-speed trains.
Autostrade Lombarde is an Italian holding company that owned a majority stake (78.9752%) in Società di Progetto Brebemi S.p.A., the operator of Autostrada A35. The company also owned 27.958% stake in Autostrade Bergamasche, a company that own the concession to connect Autostrada A35 and Autostrada A36.
Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali S.p.A. is an Italian transport company. The company owned the concession until 2028 on Milan to Serravalle Scrivia section of Autostrada A7, as well as the concession of the ring roads or bypass road surrounding Milan. The company was the holding company of Autostrada Pedemontana Lombarda, the operator of A36.
Autostrada A50, also called tangenziale Ovest di Milano, is a motorway that connects the suburban area of Milan from south-east to north-west, managed by Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali.
Autostrada A52, also called tangenziale Nord di Milano, is a motorway that connects the northern suburban area of Milan, managed by Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali. On 29 March 2005, the second section to the west was opened, not connected to the original A52, connecting the SS 33 and the A8.
Autostrada A51, also called tangenziale Est di Milano, is a motorway tangent to the city and suburban area of Milan in its eastern part, managed by Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali.
Autostrada A54, also called tangenziale Ovest di Pavia, is a motorway tangent to the city of Pavia in its western part, managed by Milano Serravalle – Milano Tangenziali.
Strada statale 35 dei Giovi is an Italian state highway, which connects Genoa and the Italian Riviera with Como and the Canton of Ticino, passing through Pavia and Milan. The road begins in Genoa in the Sampierdarena district where it constitutes an important urban crossing artery with the Reti and Fillak streets, and then ends in Como more precisely at the Customs House in Ponte Chiasso on the border with Switzerland. Between Tortona and Casteggio the SS 35 is in common with the strada statale 10, while the Milan-Cermenate section is a Superstrada, built around the 1960s known as Superstrada Milano-Meda.
