Avanhard (Ukrainian : Авангард) is a Ukrainian form of avant-garde. In Ukraine it is associated often with a sports society of the Soviet period (Avanhard).

Vorokhta is an urban-type settlement located in the Carpathian Mountains on Prut River and is part of Nadvirna Raion, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. Historically, it is a tourist spa town and later was also turned into a ski resort with several ski-jumping ramps (Avanhard). Vorokhta hosts the administration of Vorokhta settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: 4,207 ; due to a constant flow of tourists, its population almost year-round is bigger.

The raion was abolished and its territory was merged into Odesa Raion on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Odesa Oblast to seven.
