Axis Group Yacht Design is an Italian naval architecture, marine engineering and design company specialized in the over 40 meter luxury motoryacht market. [2]

History

Founded in USA in 1996, by naval architect & marine engineer Horacio Bozzo, Axis Group Yacht Design has moved to Viareggio, Italy in 2001. Since then, it has established tight collaboration with the most renowned shipyards, such as Perini Navi, Benetti, Azimut, Codecasa, Sanlorenzo, Kingship, ISA, Rossinavi among others. [2] In 2011 Axis has opened a new overseas representative office in Shanghai, which will be based at the Jin Mao Tower, the fifth tallest building in the world.

Horacio Bozzo set up in 2013 his own design brand for Superyacht: Horacio Bozzo Design.

Yacht designed

Among Axis Group Yacht Design projects: the 54 meters (177 feet) motoryacht Forever One launched in June 2014 at ISA facilities, the 55 meters (180 feet) Ice Class Motoryacht Vitruvius Picchiotti by Perini Navi, the 40 meters (130 feet)40Alloy Sanlorenzo and the Green Voyager, an innovative 44 meters (144 feet) Hybrid motoryacht by Kingship Marine. [2] In occasion of the Monaco Boat Show in September 2009, it has been assigned three Green Plus certifications to three megayachts built in Italy, whereas in China, the Green Voyager, is the first hybrid 45 meter yacht required the Green Plus certification. Axis counts also the 70 meters (230 feet) Motoryacht High Power III (ex Numptia) by Rossinavi, launched in summer 2011.

Award

In May 2012 in Hong Kong, Axis Group Yacht Design won the Best Yacht Designer in Asia of the Year 2012 award at the Asia Boating Awards. [3]

In June 2012 in the Principality of Monaco, Axis Group Yacht Design won the Naval Architect Award – Motor Yachts for the 70 meter Motoryacht Numptia (renamed High Power III) at ShowBoats Design Awards. [4]

The vessel dropped its BVI flag in 2008 and was purchased by Pleon Ltd, which put it to charter use.

<i>A</i> (motor yacht) Superyacht

Motor Yacht A is a superyacht designed by Philippe Starck and engineered by naval architect Martin Francis. She was built by the Blohm + Voss shipyard at the HDW deepwater facility in Kiel. She was ordered in November 2004, and delivered in 2008 at a rumoured cost of US$300 million. With a length of 119 metres (390 ft) and measuring almost 6,000 tonnes, she is one of the largest motor yachts in the world. Before 2022 she was connected with the Russian entrepreneur and industrialist Andrey Melnichenko, but, according to his representatives, he has no relation to her anymore, neither in terms of ownership, nor in any other way. The yacht has been laid up in the United Arab Emirates since 2022.

Jonathan Quinn Barnett is an American super yacht designer from Seattle, Washington. He apprenticed with Ron Holland and Jon Bannenberg for nearly seven years beginning in 1987, and founded Jonathan Quinn Barnett Ltd. in 1995.

Heesen Yachts is a Dutch ship building company that specialises in custom built superyachts. Founded in 1978, it has launched more than 200 yachts since its inception, many of which have won awards. Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architect Ltd. (GCMNA) of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, is a designer of international luxury yachts. The company was established in 1994 by Gregory C. High Power III

High Power III is a luxury motor yacht built by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi. 70 metres long, High Power III was built in Viareggio, home to several international yacht builders.

Rossinavi, founded in 1980, is an Italian shipyard based in Viareggio and specialized in the construction of full-custom steel and aluminium superyachts.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Front Street Shipyard</span>

Front Street Shipyard is a custom boat builder, boat yard, marina, and service yard in Belfast, Maine, USA. The yard is located along the waterfront in Penobscot Bay. The business was established in 2011. One year later, the ownership group also purchased the neighboring business, Belfast Boat Yard. In 2014, Front Street Shipyard began leasing a building in Bucksport, Maine, where production boats are built.

<i>Taransay</i> (yacht)

Taransay is a 39-meter luxury motor yacht built by the Italian shipyard Rossinavi. Delivered in 2015, Taransay is a modern equipped replica of an already existent yacht, having the same name and dated 1930. Taransay features exterior styling by the Rossinavi in-house team in collaboration with STB Italia and an interior designed by Tassin Design company.

Sanlorenzo S.p.a. is an Italian shipbuilding specialised in the production of luxury yachts and superyachts, from 24 to 70 meters in length, whose headquarters is based in Ameglia, province of La Spezia. For over 60 years, Sanlorenzo has been operating in the yachting industry by building a limited number of made-to-measure boats a year.

Parsifal III is a 54-metre sailing yacht built in 2005 by Perini Navi, currently owned by Danish entrepreneur Kim Vibe-Petersen. Parsifal III became popular through Bravo's television show Below Deck Sailing Yacht.
