Adana Province is a province and metropolitan municipality of Turkey located in central Cilicia. The administrative seat of the province is the city of Adana, home to 78.25 % of the residents of the province. Its area is 13,844 km2, and its population is 2,274,106 (2022), making it the sixth most populous province in Turkey. It is also closely associated with other Cilician provinces of Mersin, Osmaniye, and (northern) Hatay.
Balıkesir Province is a province and metropolitan municipality in northwestern Turkey with coastlines on both the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean. The province also hosts immense deposits of kaolinite and borax, with some open-pit mines. The Kaz mountains are also threatened with the expansion of gold mining using cyanide which puts the villagers' lives, the agricultural economy, and tourism at risk.

Yumurtalık, formerly called Aegeae, Ayas, Lyeys or Laiazzo, is a municipality and district of Adana Province, Turkey. Its area is 447 km2, and its population is 17,654 (2022). It is a Mediterranean port and resort town at a distance of about 40 km (25 mi) from Adana city. The resident population of the town Yumurtalık is 5,739 (2022), but in summer, it rises to 30 to 40,000 people since many inhabitants of Adana have holiday homes here. There are also many daily visitors during the holiday season.

Ayvalık Islands, are the group of islands around Ayvalık district of Turkey in Balıkesir Province in the Northeastern Aegean Sea. There are 22 islands and numerous rocks in the group, with Cunda Island, now a peninsula, being the largest. People live only on Cunda and Lale Islands. Cunda and Lale islands are linked to Ayvalık on the mainland, by a causeway enabling transportation by car. Cunda also has a ferry link from the main town, Alibey, to Ayvalık during the summer.

Lale Island is an Aegean Island of Turkey. In the antiquity it was called Kremydonisi. It is part of Ayvalık ilçe (district) of Balıkesir Province at 39°20′43″N26°41′31″E. It has two road connections; one to mainland Anatolia and the other to Cunda Island. The connection to mainland was constructed in 1817 by filing. Now a new bridge is under construction instead of filing. The connection to Cunda Island is by a bridge constructed in 1954.
The Ayvalık Strait Bridge, also known as 15 Eylül Bridge, is a bridge crossing the Dolap Strait in Ayvalık, Balıkesir Province, western Turkey. It connects Cunda Island with Lale Island and, by extension, the town of Ayvalık on the mainland. It has been dubbed The first strait bridge in Turkey since it predates the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul (1970), which has a famous nickname as Strait Bridge.
