Azadshahr (Persian : آزادشهر) [a] is a city in the Central District of Azadshahr County, Golestan Province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. [5]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 38,260 in 9,260 households. [6] The following census in 2011 counted 39,484 people in 10,994 households. [7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 43,760 people in 13,206 households. [2]
