The Azerbaijani women's football league is the top-level women's football league of Azerbaijan. It is organized by the national women's football association.

The league was played out from 2003 [1] for some years. After that there first were no leagues and then only youth (U15, U17) ones. [1] [2]

The winning team of the league qualified for a spot in the UEFA Women's Cup. Gömrükçü Baku has represented Azerbaijan five times from 2002–03 to 2006–07 and reached a quarter-final. Ruslan-93 Baku played the Women's Cup in 2007–08.

The first season after the hiatus was held in 2016/17 with Gabala FK winning the title. Sumgayit FK would win the next title before the league would return to a hiatus. It appears to have run for half a season in 2021-22, but no further information is available. [3]

The Gabala FC 2008–09 season was Gabala's third Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their third season under manager Ramiz Mammadov. They finished 10th in the Premier League, whilst being knocked out at the Semifinal stage of the 2008–09 Azerbaijan Cup by Inter Baku. Their kit was supplied by Erreà and their main sponsor was Hyundai.

The Khazar Lankaran 2008–09 season is Khazar Lankaran's fourth Azerbaijan Premier League season. Khazar started the season under the management of Rasim Kara, however he was replaced by Igor Ponomaryov during the season. Khazar finished the season in 4th place and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the quarterfinal stage by Baku.

The 2014–15 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 23rd season of Azerbaijan Premier League, the Azerbaijani professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. Qarabağ are the defending champions, having won the previous season. The season started on 9 August 2014 and ended on 28 May 2015.

The Inter Baku 2015–16 season is Inter Baku's fifteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their first season under manager Zaur Svanadze. They will compete in the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League, entering at the first qualifying round stage, the Azerbaijan Cup and the League.

They won the League for the fourth season in a row on 16 April 2017, reaching the final of the Azerbaijan Cup and the group stages of the UEFA Europa League having been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in the 3rd qualifying round by Viktoria Plzeň on away goals.

The Inter Baku 2016-17 season was Inter Baku's sixteenth Azerbaijan Premier League season, and their second season under manager Zaur Svanadze. They finished the season in third place, and were knocked out of the Azerbaijan Cup at the semifinal stage by Gabala.

The 2017–18 season was Gabala FK's 13th season, and their 12th in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top-flight of Azerbaijani football. Gabala finished the season in second place, 16 points behind champions Qarabağ. In the Azerbaijan Cup were runners-up for the second year in a row, losing to Keşla 1-0 in the final whilst they also reached the Third qualifying round of the Europa League before being knocked out by Panathinaikos.

The 2018–19 Azerbaijan Premier League was the 27th season of the Azerbaijan Premier League. It was won by defending champions Qarabağ. The season began on 11 August 2018.
