Børge Anders Børresen [1] (25 May 1919 in Vejle 4 March 2007 in Vejle) was a Danish sailor in the Dragon class. He became World Champion in 1993 crewing for Jesper Bank. [2]

Vejle is a town in Denmark, in the southeast of the Jutland Peninsula at the head of Vejle Fjord, where the Vejle River and Grejs River and their valleys converge. It is the site of the councils of Vejle Municipality (kommune) and the Region of Southern Denmark. The city has a population of 54,862, making it the ninth largest city in Denmark. Vejle Municipality has a population of 111,743. The city is part of the Triangle Region, which includes the neighbouring cities of Kolding and Fredericia.

Dragon (keelboat) class of keelboat

The Dragon is a one-design keelboat designed by Norwegian Johan Anker in 1929. In 1948 the Dragon became an Olympic Class, a status it retained until the Munich Olympics in 1972. The Dragon's long keel and elegant metre-boat lines remain unchanged, but today Dragons are constructed using the latest technology to make the boat durable and easy to maintain. GRP construction was introduced in 1973 and the rigging has been regularly updated.

Jesper Bank is a Danish sailor and Olympic champion. He received a bronze medal in the Soling Class at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul.

The Region of Southern Denmark is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. Vejle Municipality is a municipality (kommune) in the Region of Southern Denmark on the Jutland peninsula in southeast Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 1,058.43 km2 (408.66 sq mi) (2013) (www.noegletal.dk], and has a population of 112,151. Its mayor is Arne Sigtenbjerggaard, a member of the liberal party Venstre. Vejle Municipality's offices are located in its largest population center, the city of Vejle.

Vejle Boldklub association football club in Denmark

Vejle Boldklub, founded in 1891, is a Danish professional football club from the town of Vejle. The club has won the Danish championship five times and the Danish cup title six times.

Until January 1, 2007, Give municipality was a municipality in Vejle County on the Jutland peninsula in southeast Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 403 km2, and had a total population of 14,090 (2005). Its last mayor was Villy Dahl Johansen. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Give.

John Sivebæk is a Danish former football defender. He won the 1984 Danish championship with Vejle Boldklub and played for English club Manchester United. He scored one goal in 87 appearances for the Danish national team, and represented his country at the 1986 World Cup as well as three European Championships, including the triumphant 1992 European Championship tournament.

The Zoom8 is a youth racing dinghy sailed in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Austria, the Netherlands, Estonia, Latvia and Russia. It is designed by the Finn Henrik Segercrantz. The Zoom8 is considered an excellent transition dinghy from the Optimist and the more physically demanding dinghies such as the Laser, Europe and 29er, and although many attempts have been made by other classes to fill this gap, the Zoom8 dinghy is one of the few to have succeeded.

Grejs River

Grejs River is an approximately 22-kilometre-long (14 mi) river in Vejle Municipality in Denmark. Its source is Fårup Lake, south of the village of Jelling. It starts by heading east through a tunnel valley, then turns south to run through Grejs Valley, the largest gorge in Denmark, until it reaches the city of Vejle. North of Vejle, it splits into two branches, Omløbsåen and Mølleåen. Omløbsåen runs west around the city centre to meet Vejle River, while Mølleåen flows through the city and empties into Vejle River just south of the city centre.

2018–19 Danish Superliga

The 2018–19 Danish Superliga season is the 29th season of the Danish Superliga. Midtjylland are the defending champions. The season started on 13 July 2018 and is scheduled to end in May 2019.
