BRCA1 associated protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BRAP gene. [5]
The protein encoded by this gene was identified by its ability to bind to the nuclear localization signal of BRCA1 and other proteins. It is a cytoplasmic protein which may regulate nuclear targeting by retaining proteins with a nuclear localization signal in the cytoplasm. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].
Breast cancer type 1 susceptibility protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BRCA1 gene. Orthologs are common in other vertebrate species, whereas invertebrate genomes may encode a more distantly related gene. BRCA1 is a human tumor suppressor gene and is responsible for repairing DNA.
Tyrosine-protein kinase ABL1 also known as ABL1 is a protein that, in humans, is encoded by the ABL1 gene located on chromosome 9. c-Abl is sometimes used to refer to the version of the gene found within the mammalian genome, while v-Abl refers to the viral gene, which was initially isolated from the Abelson murine leukemia virus.
Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type 11 (PTPN11) also known as protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1D (PTP-1D), Src homology region 2 domain-containing phosphatase-2 (SHP-2), or protein-tyrosine phosphatase 2C (PTP-2C) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the PTPN11 gene. PTPN11 is a protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) Shp2.
RAC(Rho family)-alpha serine/threonine-protein kinase is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the AKT1 gene. This enzyme belongs to the AKT subfamily of serine/threonine kinases that contain SH2 protein domains. It is commonly referred to as PKB, or by both names as "Akt/PKB".
IκBα is one member of a family of cellular proteins that function to inhibit the NF-κB transcription factor. IκBα inhibits NF-κB by masking the nuclear localization signals (NLS) of NF-κB proteins and keeping them sequestered in an inactive state in the cytoplasm. In addition, IκBα blocks the ability of NF-κB transcription factors to bind to DNA, which is required for NF-κB's proper functioning.
Docking protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DOK1 gene.
14-3-3 protein beta/alpha is a protein that in humans is encoded by the YWHAB gene.
Dynamin-1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DNM1 gene.
C-terminal-binding protein 1 also known as CtBP1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CTBP1 gene. CtBP1 is one of two CtBP proteins, the other protein being CtBP2.
Kinesin-like protein KIF1B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the KIF1B gene.
Elongation factor 1-gamma is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EEF1G gene.
Retinoblastoma-binding protein 8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RBBP8 gene.
Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the UBE2D1 gene.
N-myc-interactor also known as N-myc and STAT interactor is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NMI gene.
ETS domain-containing protein Elk-4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ELK4 gene.
Rnd2 is a small signaling G protein, and is a member of the Rnd subgroup of the Rho family of GTPases. It is encoded by the gene RND2.
LIM domain transcription factor LMO4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the LMO4 gene.
Early growth response protein 3 is a protein in humans, encoded by the EGR3 gene.
Interferon-induced 35 kDa protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the IFI35 gene.
