Bangladesh Aviation and Aerospace University is a public university in Bangladesh. [1] It is funded by the government and is Bangladesh's first higher education institution on aerospace engineering. [2] It is the 46th public University of Bangladesh.The permanent campus of BAAU Lalmonirhat besides Airport of Lalmonirhat. As per the admission circular the Aeronautical Engineering program began in January 2020.
On July 11, 2018, the UGC drafted a law and submitted it to the Ministry of Education for setting up an aviation university in Bangladesh. [3] At the Council of Ministers meeting on September 28, 2018, the approval for establishing this university/institution was granted, along with three more universities receiving policy approval on the same day. On February 28, 2019, education minister Dipu Moni placed a bill in the National Parliament regarding the inauguration of this institution and it was passed. [4] A temporary office has been set up at the old airport at Tejgaon, Dhaka to handle the activities of the university. [5] Air Vice-Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque has been appointed as the founding Vice Chancellor of the institution on May 26, 2019. The current Vice Chancellor of the university is Air Vice-Marshal ASM Fakhrul Islam. [6]
The Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. The air force is primarily responsible for air defence of Bangladesh's sovereign territory as well as providing air support to the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy. Furthermore, the BAF has a territorial role in providing tactical and strategic air transport and logistics capability for the country.

Islamic University, Bangladesh ; commonly referred to as Islamic University, Kushtia shortly IU, is a public PhD granting research university in Kushtia, Bangladesh and the largest seat of higher education in the south-west part of the country. It holds the distinction of being the seventh most ancient educational institution in the nation, serving as Bangladesh's inaugural university post-independence from Pakistan in 1971. It offers undergraduate, graduate, M Phil and PhD degrees.
Comilla Victoria Government College, mostly known as Comilla Victoria College, is a government college in Comilla, Bangladesh. It is one of the oldest and most renowned colleges in Comilla as well as in the Chittagong division. The degree and honours branch of the college is located in Dharmapur area of Cumilla district. The college was named after Queen Victoria, once the Queen of British Raj.
Azizul Haque, also known as by his epithet Shaykh al-Hadith was a Bangladeshi Islamic scholar, politician, writer, and translator. He is the founder of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis and first Bangali translator of Sahih al-Bukhari. He was vice chancellor of Jamia Rahmania Arabia Dhaka.
Sir Muhammad Azizul Haque, KCSI, CIE, also known as Muhammad Azizul Huq or Mohammad Azizul Huque, was a Bengali lawyer, writer and public servant. He studied at Presidency College and University Law College in Calcutta. He worked to better the condition of Muslim people, primarily in the rural farmlands. This led him to work with Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Haque, Sir Abdulla Suhrawardy, Sir Salimullah and Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He remained friends with many throughout his life.

He is the former vice-president of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, secretary general of Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh, Chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Social Islami Bank, Governor of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, chancellor of Jamia Rahmania Arabia, Dhaka and president of regional Qawmi education board Ittefaqul Madarisil Qawmia Muhammadpur. He is also a member of the standing committee of Al Haiatul Ulya and was the secretary-general of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis.
Shah Mohammad Muhibbullah Babunagari is a Bangladeshi Deobandi Islamic scholar, politician and academic. He is the current and 3rd amir of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, rector of Al-Jamiatul Islamiah Azizul Uloom Babunagar. He also held leading positions in Islami Oikya Jote, Befaqul Madarisil Arabia Bangladesh and Al-Haiatul Ulya Lil-Jamiatil Qawmia Bangladesh. He is considered one of the pioneers of Deoband movement in Bangladesh.
Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Nazrul Islam BSP, nswc, afwc, psc, GD(P), (Retd) is a retired Bangladesh Air Force officer. During his four decades in the military, he led a Bangladesh peacekeeping contingent in the Democratic Republic of Congo, commanded two air bases in Bangladesh, and was vice-chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University (BSMRAAU).
Air Vice Marshal AHM Fazlul Haque BBP, BSP, ndu, afwc, psc, GD(P) is a retired Bangladeshi 2 Star Air Force officer who has served as Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations). He is the founding Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University. Before join BSMRAAU, he served as Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Bir Shretra Matiur Rahman.
Air Vice Marshal ASM Fakhrul Islam, OSP, GUP, ndc, afwc, psc, GD (P) is a Bangladesh Air Force officer and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations). Prior to that, he was Senior Directing Staff (Air) at National Defense College, Mirpur. Prior to this position, he was Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Aviation and Aerospace University. Before that, he was Commandant of Bangabandhu Aeronautical Centre. He also served as Air Officer Commanding(AOC) at BAF Base Zahurul Haque, Patenga, Chattogram.
