Banque Centrale Populaire is a major bank in Morocco.
The bank maintains overseas offices in Germany, England, Canada, Spain, France, Gibraltar, Netherlands and Belgium. [4]
As of 2012, the bank's market share of customer deposits in Morocco was 27.9 percent. [5] This translates to customer deposits of 204.9 billion dirhams (1H2013). The number of employees in the bank at the end of 2012 was 11,878.
For 2023, net banking income grew by 10.6 per cent to AED 22.9 billion. Consolidated deposits totalled AED 372 billion and consolidated loans stood at AED 319.4 billion. [6]

Roshan Digital Account (RDA) (Urdu روشن ڈیجیٹل اکاؤنٹ) is a facility available to non-resident Pakistanis, this facility allows Pakistani nationals living abroad to have access to banking services within Pakistan without having to visit a consulate, embassy, or a physical bank branch. The initiative was launched by the government of Imran Khan, who inaugurated the programme in September 2020. Toward the end of August 2021, RDA deposits had exceeded $2 billion.
Mohamed Benchaaboun is a Moroccan banker, politician and diplomat. He has been Morocco's ambassador to France from 7 January 2022 until his termination in 19 January 2023. He was Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform of Morocco from 2018 to 2021.
The Compagnie Algérienne, from 1942 to 1948 Compagnie Algérienne de Crédit et de Banque, was a significant French bank with operations in Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia and Lebanon as well as mainland France. It was formed in 1877 in a restructuring of its predecessor entity, the Société Générale Algérienne, itself founded in 1865-68. The Compagnie Algérienne eventually merged in 1960 with the Banque de l'Union Parisienne. Following a series of subsequent restructurings, its main successor entities as of 2022 are the Crédit du Nord in France, the Crédit populaire d'Algérie in Algeria, the Banque de Tunisie in Tunisia, Attijariwafa Bank in Morocco, and the Banque Libano-Française in Lebanon.
