Basic Pictures Ltd. (Chinese :基本映画) is a Hong Kong production company that was established in 2002 by filmmaker Andrew Lau. Since its establishment, the company has gone to produce film that include the Infernal Affairs trilogy and other films in which Lau serves as either the director or the producer.

Andy Lau Tak-wah is a Hong Kong actor, singer-songwriter and film producer. He was named the "Fourth Tiger" among the Five Tiger Generals of TVB in the 1980s as well as one of the Four Heavenly Kings in the 1990s. In the Philippines, he was previously given the screen name Ricky Chan.
Infernal Affairs is a 2002 Hong Kong action thriller film directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak from a screenplay written by Mak and Felix Chong. The film stars Andy Lau, Tony Leung, Anthony Wong, Eric Tsang, Sammi Cheng and Kelly Chen. The film follows an undercover Hong Kong Police Force officer who infiltrates a triad and another police officer who is secretly a spy for the same triad. It is the first in the Infernal Affairs series and is followed by Infernal Affairs II and Infernal Affairs III.
Carina Lau Kar-ling is a Hong Kong actress and singer. She started her acting career in TVB, before going on to achieve success in films after her 2nd year in college. She was notable in the 1980s for her girl-next-door type roles in films. She also plays Empress Wu Zetian in Tsui Hark's Detective Dee films, starting with Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame in 2010. She has won Best Actress awards at the Hong Kong Film Award and mainland China's Golden Rooster Awards, and has been nominated at Taiwan's Golden Horse Awards.
La Brassiere is a 2001 Hong Kong romantic comedy film starring Lau Ching-wan, Louis Koo, Carina Lau and Gigi Leung. The film was followed by a sequel, titled Mighty Baby, which was released in 2002.

A Moment of Romance III is a 1996 Hong Kong romance film directed by Johnnie To starring Andy Lau. Although the third in the series of "A Moment of Romance" films, it shares nothing in terms of characters, plot and setting with the first two films.

ASA Filmudlejning is a noted Danish film studio founded in 1936 and based in Hellerup, Copenhagen. It produced approximately 90 films between 1936 and 1988 although the bulk of its production was in the 1940s and 1950s. The writer Morten Korch used the studio to turn his books into the family film Far til fire series, that has continued to this day with its fifth generation of actors.
