The parliament of Uganda is the country's legislative body. Unicameral, the most significant of the Ugandan parliament's functions is to pass laws that will provide good governance in the country. The government ministers are bound to answer to the people's representatives on the floor of the house. Rosemary Bikaako Tumusiime is a Ugandan marketing professional, public administrator, feminist and politician. She is the elected Member of Parliament for Entebbe Municipality and is a representative for NRM, the ruling political party in Uganda. She is the first female representative for the constituency in over three decades and succeeded Muhammad Kawuma who served for two consecutive terms from 2006 to 2016. In the 10th Parliament, she serves as a member of the Committee on Equal Opportunities and the Committee on Presidential Affairs. She is also a member of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus, the Buganda Parliamentary Caucusand the treasurer of the Network for African Women Ministers and Parliamentarians (NAWMP).

General elections were held in Uganda on 14 January 2021 to elect the President and the Parliament. The Electoral Commission announced Incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, the incumbent ruling since 1986, as the winner with 58.64% of the votes although the U.S. State Department qualified the electoral process as "fundamentally flawed" and Africa Elections Watch said they observed irregularities. The official voter turnout was 57% but is questioned since 409 polling stations have been announced to have 100% voter turnout.

Flavia Nabagabe Kalule, is a Ugandan teacher, Inter-parliamentary union representative, women's rights activist and woman member of parliament for Kassanda district in the 11th parliament of the Republic of Uganda. She is chairperson of the women’s league at National Unity Platform(NUP) party also known as People Power.

Jimmy Lwanga is a Ugandan politician and member of parliament. He was elected in office as a member of the parliament for Njeru Municipality in Buikwe District during the 2021 Uganda general elections.

National Unity platform is headed by Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi wine.
