Bhakkar, is the principal city of Bhakkar District, Punjab, Pakistan. It lies on the left bank of the Indus river.
Bhakkar District, is a district in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The district was created out of parts of Mianwali in 1982 with Bhakkar city as the headquarter and main city. Its area consists of a riverine tract along the Indus, called Kaccha, and most of the district area lies in the desolate plain of the Thal desert.

Actually their language of communication is Pashto. They settled here after the Third Battle of Panipat (1761). They fought against the Sikhs at the 1821 siege of Mankera, with the Sadozai Nawab, of the area of Dera Ismail Khan.
